Any suggestions on good places to do this? Keep in mind the only place in my room I have to work on things is either my bed or my floor, the later of which is covered in crap and the former of which is always a horrible place to try working.

We just have a table in the dining room that's uncomfortable to sit in for >= 5 minutes (my mom acknowledges this, too)...

(of course, I've already found a good place, but it requires actually going there -- namely, CCSN Henderson's C-building's second floor, in the open areas)

If you can't find a place to work comfortably in your room or even your house, then I'd suggest finding somewhere you can go. The school library, a coffee shop, a public library, a friend's house, whatever that place is that you mentioned... either that, or get some good furniture.

Why didn't I just take physics?

Why do you still use Skype? And how come I never got a call from your ass? Too good for me or something?

Will you take my upcoming exam for me?

I don't know.

Yes, because it's awesome. You were never on when I was on, so we never chatted.

And no. I have enough work as it is, thx.

Okay. Hypothetical situation.

Let's say a few years have passed and you now live in a dorm or an apartment.

And let's say a puerto rican board member came to visit you. Would you force him to get a hotel or loan him the couch for his visit?

It depends. If I had a roomate there with me, you could stay on the couch. If it were just me, I'd direct you to the nearest hotel.

Nothing personal, I just don't really know you as a person and I'm a tad bit paranoid

It would freaking rock if you came to visit me though

I just stumbled across this thread, and I could ask a question. My impression is that you don't like drinking. But you're not against having a few beers, or glasses of whine/whatever because of enjoying the taste? Also, what music do you like? Do you like metal?

Do you listen to music at all? If so, what music do you like? Have you ever heard of Essex Green? (I'm sorry if this is bothering you, I have enjoyed some beers myself, to put it that way.. Anyway, if you want some soft metal, I suggest Edguy. )

(I just watched Essex Green in concert today. Not my kind of music, but they weren't to bad.)

Wite: I don't know, but it makes Danielle saaaad.

LizardKing: Eh, drinking isn't terrible. I personally don't drink, and I don't plan to either... but that doesn't mean I can't tolerate others drinking. Obviously my friends, who are all my age and have a good time without alcohol... I'd probably get pissed at them if they got into it. Just because it's not necessary at this point in their lives, but also cuz it would mean I couldn't hang out with them and have a good time.
But if some dude on the internet wants to get hammered every night, I couldn't care less.
All I know is I'm 17 right now, and have absolutely no desire to drink liquor, beer, or wine of any sort.

I love music. I listen to a pretty wide variety, rock, punk, indie, british rock, ska, and some others. Some good examples of bands I like are Postal Service, Dirty Pretty Things, Taking Back Sunday, The Smiths, Snow Patrol, The Strokes, Green Day, Chili Peppers, etc.
Metal is a genre I never really got into, but I'm not sure why. I should check out a band or two and see what I think... the last time I gave metal a try was YEARS ago and I didn't care for it much.

Rom Manic: Um, nobody has to tell you I think 99% of the (active) board members know, lmao.

Wite: I can't think of a question that I wouldn't RESPOND to... but there are plenty I wouldn't answer the way you would want me to.

I like to consider myself the average 14 year old gothic girl. I was wondering can I truely go with a guy who is 4-5 years older than me in college, but is like the hottest and sweetest goth you have ever met. I understand if yeah I were older or if he were younger, but I really like it and he is just like so sweet. I just wish I could be with him or he would stop coming on so late at night when I am up in my room worrying my heart out about him.

What I mean is not as lovers but as like friends with benefits, because a guy likes me but I don't like him.

Ummm... I'd strongly suggest not going out with him. No 14 year old is ready for a relationship with a college guy; not ready physically, emotionally, or mentally. He'll be wanting sex and not commitment, you'll get attached... it's a recipe for disaster. Find someone more your own age, really. =\ I understand you think he's sweet and all, but he isn't some prince charming that will wait forever and a day for you. That's the reality of the situation.

And you're FOURTEEN, why the crap are you looking for a friend with benefits? Don't go down that path, seriously.
