| Okay, simply checking to see why this is occuring, took a clean file of 1.92, run the SQL dump, and threads aren't spolling posts in due to an SQL error. (Line 162, which refers to the variable at 132.
$posts=mysql_query("SELECT p.*,text$sfields,edited,tagval,u.id uid,name,$ufields,regdate FROM posts p,posts_text LEFT JOIN users u ON p.user=u.id WHERE thread=$id AND p.id=pid ORDER BY p.id LIMIT $min,$ppp"); Since I've been gone quite a while, can't be too sure what is going wrong here, and I imagine this is a common problem for fresh installs since I haven't touched the source yet. | Weird, it's been a while since I've used plain 1.92 but I vagely remember this happening to me. In any case, I'll install this on my private server and try and see what's wrong.
EDIT: Honestly, I can't see what's wrong. I installed on my local server and worked fine. I suggest cleaning the database (well, remove all the tables, or at least the acmlmboard tables, if you have other stuff in there) and try the dump, and see if it does anything. If it doesn't work, it *might* be your mysql version (too new?). We could always rewrite that part of the code but I'd rather not have to. EDIT 2: I do remember having a problem with it no displaying some posts. It might be because of quotes or something, but I'm not sure, I'll compare a normal 1.92 with the others on my local server. Sorry if I'm not much help currently, but it's been awhile since someone came with a non-n00bish Acmlmboard question ( *DarkSlaya looks at the 1.8 thread  )

| Of course show posts doesn't work, the problem lies in the query structure itself. Which I'm already leaning toward the answer being my MySQL server is too up to date. (Using the new 5.1 release on localhost)
Also doesn't really matter any more, gonna end up producing the board for our site from the ground up anyway. I still like Ace's, but there is a lot of fat in it I wanted to cut out anyway, and it's still having serious security issues. |
