I live in Canada, although I have a brother in Japan who is an English teacher... he sends me a lot of Japanese tutorial books and manga and other stuff so I'm learning too. I recommend you order some Japanese books and study, and read lots of manga. Japanese is not the hardest language... English is, technically. If you strive at it, you'll be able to do it. Watashi no namae wa Aiya desu~ I'm only just starting to learn japanese.. that's the only sentence I know. xD I have an awesome teacher.. he's teaching the kanji along with the romanji(what I used above..). I believe he said that there's something like 5000 kanji characters, plus the hiragana and katakana.. @.@;; Too bad I have to go all the way to Rhode Island for it though. >0 Anyway. xD; Good luck with your learning. ^^; And once again, welcome. :3 ~Aiya. |

| I welcome you to Acmlm's Board. I, too, am learning Japanese -- I have been for 2 years now. There are a lot of good books out there for learning the language. The language is only hard if you get frustrated easily -- I like a challenge and the possibility of learning so many things about the language. If you want any help learning it, let me know.

I used to be taught japanese in primary school, but when I moved to another state I forgot all I learnt unfortunatly. I still know how to count from 1 to 10 .. but thats it

| ohio goes eye moss! Now that's a bastardized spelling of "good morning" in Japanese (nihongo).
I only remember it that way b/c i saw a picture on 4chan /b/ a while ago of a picture of the state of Ohio going to an eye with moss on it or something. Like some sort of mnemonic picture to help you remember how to say it. Romanji: ohaio gozaimasu. anyways welcome to acmlm no boado (Acmlm's board) |
