is this board even still under development, or is it pretty much done for?

Im going to start a new board soon, and I was thinking about bringing back these most sacred and honored traditions (lol jk)

but seriously, Im going to make some hacks (and distribute them) but if the board is no longer under development, Id take it on myself to try and update from 1.92...

Does anybody even want hacks/updates nowadays? would I just be wasting my time? I was going to create a custom version of te board for myself anyway, but (free) server space isnt easy to find, and I only have 200 megs...

so waht do you guys think, do you want me to do this or not? I guess it's just going to be popular opinion driving my decision here.

The AB programming forum got merged with the normal Programming Forum.

And yes, the board is still under development. Acmlm is currently working on a new version, codenamed board2.

I saw that on his cjb site, and was wondering what that was...
I'm happy that it's still under development though. So many of these projects end up dead and lose so much potential.

I think this board will eventually have what it takes to become exceedingly popular -- it seems the exclusive nature of the board already makes an impression on people (only one place to download it online, although Im not sure if acmlm would want the location disclosed as of yet...)

I remember 2 or 3 years ago, when we expected 2.0 to come by christmas. that really worked out didnt it?

anyway, we still don't have a hack archive, do we? I might set a new one up myself.

yeah, I sort of agree... but some ideas are best shared, I think.
Schemes/Themes and the sort people can make on their own, but there were times a couple years back where I would say "Hey, thats kind of neat. I never thought of that."

I do agree with you about the coding though, I remember when people were like "WTF how do I make an admin panel?"

To be honest... Im really surprised that never (fully) happened. It seems so simple, in theory... use a tool like bluefish (HTML/PHP/etc editor) and its just a matter of typing in the database tables . It'll do most of the code for you.

I still might release my own hacks (or whomever wants theirs hosted), but Im currently looking for a better host anyway, so it'll have to wait.

People still use acmlmboard 'plugins' so I would still program them. I plan to start eventually once I get my priorities done first.

If you still need some plugins or whatever, you can download them at my dead main site here.

I'll add more if anyone ever gets interested and sends them to me or whatever.

I code my own shit.

I just don't release it (because it would be a pain).

Your code is shit?

I got view 4000000 while I was on the john. I watched the Mario Movie once there, too. Then there was the time I came up with a level idea for a ROM hack on there (which had nothing to do with feces - I came up with that idea before that).

Probably not funny to most since hardly any of you will probably know what I'm talking about, but one time my friend told me he listened to Symphony X's 'The Odyssey' while on the throne.

That's a 21 minute long song.

I managed to complete a 100% run of Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland while on the shitter.

From a new game.

I did that with Super Mario Land, but it took longer than 22 minutes. It was more like 34. That was also the first time I ever beat the game.

I really am eventually going to finish www.acmlm.org/beta/.
Once I missed the July 4 deadline I had set, I just decided I'm going to take it at a more casual pace.

As long as that doesn't equal the casual pace of Acmlm ... then I guess we might have something to look forward to.
