| Anyways, as the title says, I'm working on some new kirby avatars. Here they are:

| First off, never ever save pixelated works as jpg files.
They don't look as good resized either. Just because you have plenty of space doesn't mean you need to use all of it. Placing kirby sprites on a black background is remarkably unimpressive. You really should do something that requires some effort in order to make these avatars worth looking at. |

| The JPG was something my file host did... those were bmp's origininally.
Anyways, I'll add some background in as well as the borders... then upload the .PNG versions that I make. I just downloaded the trial version of Fireworks, so... the finals will be a lot better. Oh, and thanks for linking me to that kirby sprite list, but... I ripped mine. EDIT: Did a bit more on the kirby under construciton avatar... 
EDIT: Two more. however, the second one's BG messed up - it was a sky BG. I'll fix that and upload a new version   (edited by Sukasa + on 07-09-06 03:06 PM) |

| You know, you can use something like Irfanview to convert those BMPs to PNGs. I use Irfanview everytime I need to convert BMP to PNGs since my MSPaint doesn't suppost PNG; only BMP, GIF, and JPG.

Erm Paint does save PNG's..... Does a very crappy job and saves them alot bigger than it should be... but it does save as png. I was very VERY VERY bored when I did this. (edited by Darkdata on 07-09-06 09:17 PM) |

| Do you have Photoshop?
If you do, make the avatar, copy/paste it from MSPaint to Photoshop, Save for web, choose PNG 8, select as many colors as necessary without losing quality, save as png. I get some pixelized art that Paint would save as about 500 kb down to about 20 or 30 kb. LOTS of time saved for loading as well. If you don't have Photoshop find some other program that allows you to save like Photoshop does. |

Anyways, my version of Paint doesn't save .PNG files (win98 Paint). My question is: How are the last four images that I posted here? shoudl I make more, or take a second look and decide a better way to do them? |
