Open up a song from Lumines in a hex editor.
Examples: Shinin' = so_musicSHI2.dat Shake Ya Body = so_musicSY.dat I Hear the Music in My Soul = so_musicIH.dat There ASCII value at $54 is the song's speed in beas per minute. This can have a decimal. A couple lines down is the song's measure. How to play: Use UMD dumper to dump an ISO of your copy of Lumines... which you of course have. Extract the ISO with winRAR. Edit away. Rebuild the ISO with UMDgen. Slap it on your memory stick and boot with UMD emulator 0.8. A bitch? Yes. Easier than music tweaking in NDS games? Very. Of course, atrac3 (.at3) files in other PSP games can be a hell of a lot easier. I'm talking Puzzle Bobble or Wipeout with a fully custom soundtrack of whatever MP3s etc you have sitting around. But the ease can take the fun out of it. |
