Use Hex Workshop. One of the free older versions is more than good enough, and you use it to find more than just free space in a ROM.
To find free space, use the "Find" feature and type in FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF or 000000000000000000000000000000000 to find free space, make sure you are searching for "Hex Values". |
