Sugar - System of a Down

I love this song... but i have no idea what the hell it means! xD I mean the lyrics are fun to sing with and it really gets me pumped but its really weird. Definately one of their best of all.

Take it all away - By Faktion

I just heard about these guys, so far i'm really digging their stuff. The vocals sound so much like Adema it scary, but they are awesome, give it a listen on their MySpace page here: http://www.myspace.com/faktiondallas Oh yeah and they just got signed with RR a while ago, soon to release their debut album, I'll probably buy it.

I'm listening to The Chosen One, by the B-52's. I'm not one who listens to oldie's but the B-52's are a really great group and their music is so different.

I'm looking at finding some more of their songs to put on my iPod.

Artist: Dark Tranquillity
Track: White Noise/Black Silence
Album: Damage Done (2002)

Yeah, just recently I started listening to some Dark Tranquillity, mostly to check them out. First impression were that they were very similar in style to the In Flames of old, but after listening for a while, I came to the conclusion that they're still a bit different... On this track they do perhaps sound a bit thrashier.

Artist: The Pillows
Album: Fool on the Planet
Song: Ride on a Shooting Star

I only have three songs from them, in the mist of obtaining the rest. First heard these guys awhile back when FLCL aired on Adult Swim. Loved them. But sadly I forgot about them until Grey mentioned them recently. I love the way they play, a bit chaotic with melody for this song. Even though I don't know a lick of japanese it is quite enjoyable.

Pansy Division - "He Whipped My Ass in Tennis, Then I Fucked His Ass in Bed"

It's a very cheery little punk/queercore song with a definite Nashville feel which is pulled off quite well.

And to think, until about yesterday I had never even *heard* of Pansy Division.

<3 Pansy Division.

I was listening to some good undeterminable jazz on my tv because it's so hi-tech it has fm radio, but now I've switched over to Phantom Of The Opera by Iron Maiden. Most of it's a fast 6/8 song with interesting vocal melody that goes with the lead guitar occasionally. Then right after the 'break' in the song, there's a neat tapping section started by the bass. After that, the bass has a pretty awesome part all the way to the end of the song. It's great stuff like this that started progressive metal.

Right Now by Van Halen

I never really liked Van Halen until I heard this song and didn't know it was him. I'm starting to like his music more and more. This is possibly my favorite song by him though. It makes me feel good when I'm down or depressed. It's a good cheerful song.

Yesh!!!! You fucking rule! I love that song!

Listening to: "Leave you far behind" by Lunatic Calm
The instrumental version is much better. I like the beginning where the base starts the tune, then an acidic moog plays the same tune just as the rhythm shuts off.

At the moment I'm listening to Somebody Help Me by Full Blown Rose, got a hold of the mp3 a while ago and forgot I had it

Apparently it was the theme song to Tru Calling.

I am listenig to:

Metallica - No leaf clover.

It's a live song, that they did with San Francisco Symphony. It's from the S & M album. I love this song. And this quote from the song:

Is just a freight train coming your way"

Laibach - Tan Mit Laibach

Slovenien Industrial music rules. My friends often mistake Laibach for Rammstein, but in all forms they are better and more matured as far as an industrial band.

You want to travel to the limits of your own imagination? Here's how...

Kick up the stereo system, turn the lights down way low, plug in the headphones, and light up the Ozric Tentacles album known as Spirals In Hyperspace. Then sit back in the recliner and close your eyes, and watch the pretty pictures in your head that the music feeds you. You can hear some 30-second sound bites here.

Seventy-or-so minutes long, nine songs, all instrumental with no lyrics. Sort of a cross between hard rock, acid jazz, spaced-out techno, and Egyptian music, if you can picture that in your head. From beginning to end, that album takes me to another planet and back.

Fiona Apple's "Extraordinary Machine".

Alls I have to say is WHAT AN AMAZING ALBUM. Her use of dissident chords, and strange instruments.. makes it amazing. Her voice is very unique, very heavy and low... it's sexy. This is what I will be listening to, for a very very very very long time.

Voices - Disturbed

Love the intro, and the rest of the song is pretty energetic. A great way to kick of the album. i love it even though the guys have gotten better, and heavier. This song just has a certain something that just attacks my brain and won't stop.

The Game - Disturbed

Follows Voices. I love this two (almost everything off of The Sickness is great ) Kinda silent/phaser-like intro which is an awesome build up for the song. Plus the other guitar with soft harmonics is a pretty cool touch, then it snaps into a gritty vibe, then back to silent but keeps on rolling. Definately one of the best off The Sickness.

[edit]

Fear - Disturbed (yes, I'm on a Disturbed binge)

Intro reminds me of the 90's with you the gansta rap and shit back then But the song makes me wanna fight. I mean the bass and guitar collide so nicely that I just wanna beat the hell outta someone. In other words, awesomness.

-I'll probably continue adding on to this and do a complete Sickness review -

Rock on!

Artist: Coldplay
Album: B-Sides
Song: Only Superstition

Recently acquired this "album" today. By no means is it an official "album" ( I don't think so) either way. It is a nice colelction of B-Sides and live tracks. This is a considerably old track. Parachute-era sounding. I heard it before, maybe 2/3 years old. It really ins't innotivate or great souding, but it is good. I like the way the song picks up a bit when the chorus kicks in.

Okay, I'm on the Believe CD now I know how to play this one, easy. But its pretty catchy and I like it a lot. Soft yet aggresive, 10/10.

The World is New - Save Ferris

Kickass ska band from the 90's. I "stole" this CD from my sister when I was 7 or 8, because I loved it so much. And I still have it. If you like ska in any way whatsoever, give them a try.
