I'm listening to the Rogue Traders album, I think I mentioned them before in here. I should put some songs of there's on my MP3 player the thought never crossed my mind.

Rescue Me the 5th song on the album is playing at the moment.

Seu Jorge - Rebel Rebel

Do you like acoustic music? Do you like Bowie? Well then...you'll love it done acoustic and in Portugese. This is one of the reasons why Life Aquatic kicks ass...The soundtrack.

Korn: Y'all want a single (say F*** that)

Wow. That's all I can say. Nothing else but if you listen to it, crank the volume up big time when the chorus starts. Trust me.

Artist: Arctic Monekys
Album: When the Sun Goes Down
Song: Whatever People Say I am, That's What I'm Not

Elmo made a thread bout it. I was intrigued. Found album. Listgen to song. Be glad and happy. I can't really describe the song. The band is from the Uk and it is one of the freshest things I have heard in awhile. The only downer is that they only have one album out. But quality verses quantity so it all equals out. I like the lyrics and how it flows well with the sound. Chorus rocks by the way. Just check out the band.

This beautiful, gorgeous, awe-inspiring ambient track just makes me want to fall asleep. Absolutely breath taking. I really want to get his album W00t for iTunes and the radio!

Universal Soul - Way Back in the Day

It's a little known Canadian alternative hip-hop get up from the East Coast. It's just god damned awesome to hear songs about what most of us grew up with.

Artist: In Flames
Track Dawn of a New Day
Album: Reroute to Remain

I really like this song. It has some acoustic parts. And I just put it on repeat. It is not death metal styled. It is actually mostly acoustic. COLLECT THE PARTS WHERE I WIN!

Some people have compared it to Incubus like music, but I don't know. I have no idea what Incubus sounds like.

In Flames sound like Incubus? No way, Incubus have never been as good as In Flames, and they don't really sound like them to me

But anyways...

Scream - Slipknot

Off of the re-release of Vol. 3, its awesome! ^^ Love the solo a lot. The song is pretty catchy itself. I love singing with the song cause its just energetic, gets me going.

Then...

Wammin by Ben Carroll

Its just guitar work, but it's pretty nice. Ben does guitar in the band Ra, one of my favorite bands . But yeah, he shows that he can play a helluva lot better than what most of the Ra songs portray. I want them to go metal, cause I know they can do it.

1. Crappy rock band
2. Crappy prog death band
3. Awesome thrash band
4. Hilarious Christian metal

Well, I have no idea, as I have never listened to Incubus.. none of them. (And I was kinda anti-sober as well, when I made that post. )

I was thinking about this, though:

There is also the laid-back, Incubus-like electronica of the verses in "Dawn of a New Day" (arguably the album's best song)

I'm pretty sure the person was referring to the Incubus, the rock band. And I have only heard good words about Incubus, until now. I am kinda curious about checking them out, though.

And since I'm already here and posting in this thread.. this is what's currently playing:

Artist: Edguy (Seems like quite an odd name for a band, if you ask me, but hey. )
Track: The Spirit Will Remain
Album: Hellfire Club (2004)

I suck at writing paragraphs for songs, which is why I post so seldom in this thread.. but Edguy is usually some kind of power metal band. This song, though, is more like a very slow ballad.

It's an ok song. Ballads usually aren't something I would prefer to listen to, as with most types of 'slow' music. Works fine for background music, though, which is a must have for me when I'm at the computer. I have gotten so used to having music constantly playing, that silence just gets weird. Which is another reason why I need _MORE_ bands.. or more music in general.

Krusty Toenail: Is there like a moment, where you are not listening to Slipknot?

Artist: Incubus (The one with Brandon Boyd as a lead singer....)
Album: Make Yourself
Song: Drive

I decided to go for an optimistic song to say the least. One of Incubus's most well known songs. I really can't say much aside from the fact that it is a nice song with hopeful lyrics. It puts me in a 'Maybe life doesn't suck' mentality. Of course, after I finish with this song I will simply go back to listening to slow, sad songs.

Yeah, right now its...

Trivium - Like Light to the Flies

This is without a doubt one of my favorite songs ever, along with PHotSoYM . I love hte lyrics, sure the Verse is the same thing just repeated but I love the Chorus and the guitars are just awesome. I love the solo they have and how they can go from heavy as hell to clean and soft and sound kickass. Trivium is byfar one of the best bands I've heard of... Now if I can only get my hands on Ember to Inferno
Cruel Justice
I have better things to do.

Thats a uh... interesting picture

Anyways...

Black Steel - Battlecall

Awesome band, awesome song. I found them while wasting some time on Ultimate-Guitar.com and dowloaded 2 of their songs, really good stuff. Guitars are sweet and the vocals are a nice change,*gasp* he can actually sing! The song is good normally, but if you up the playing speed the solo goes from fast to freakish speed demon, and DragonForce goes from speed demon to pure noise

Nada Surf: "Always Love"

Okay, who's old enough to remember "Popular"? Nobody? These guys were pretty much regarded as full-on one-hit wonders back in the olden days of 1995, although to be fair, it doesn't help when your big hit's lyrics are mostly spoken sarcastic advice. That album had some great songs, though, showing that they would be a band whose influence long outlasted their time together.

Until they got on their steeds and came back a couple of years ago with Let Go, and this song (off The Weight Is A Gift) shows just how far they've come. Great, great hook in the chorus, nice, somewhat gently pummeling music, perfect for the grown and sexy nowadays who have enough taste to crap on Fall Out Boy.

Trashed, Lost and Strungout - CHildren of Bodom

Intro sounds freaking amazing. Every time I hear this song it gets me pumped up, the whole song is rather fast-paced and energetic. Love the beat, and the solos. I am also going to learn this song, my first real Metal song I'll be learning, I know the solo (guitar) is going to be a bitch, but I like challenges

Daddy Yankee - Cuentame

People are haters, telling me to turn my shit down. Anyways, yeah, good song. He needs to come out with a better CD than just a CD with live performances with the same songs he's had out for more than a year. It's kind of a slow song but yeah, me likes.
