Quincy Jones - Sanford and Son Theme

One of the weirder titles that I have on my playlist. I love this lyric-less song nonetheless. The beat is so catchy and marvelous, only Quincy could do it. The show is hilarious. RIP, Redd Foxx.

Interpol - Slow Hands

The song just changed. I really do love Interpol. Been listening to them for a very long time now. This song is from their latest album 'Antics'. Just like their other songs the lyrics don't make too much sense but the guitar-drum combo is worthy of a steady head nod or foot tap. Paul Banks' voice is similar to Ian Curtis' own, although not as glum.

Turmion Katilot - Liitto
From what I know I think it means "alliance" in Finnish. I don't completely understand the terminology they use but I know a few words. "Rauta" means iron, "koura" means fist, "ketju" means chain... It's songs like theirs that make me want to learn Finnish. I really like the vocals of this band.

I was just listening to Passions the new song by Hikaru. I heard it was going to be on Kingdom Hearts 2, which I cannot wait to get. It's such a nice song, very techo sort of.

Artist:The White Stripes
Album: Elephant
Song: The Hardest Button To Button

Took me long enough to get this album. I liked their 'White Blood Cells' album, not a great album, but good nonetheless. This song, well I liked the video that went with it thus why it is stuck in my head. I can't help but tap my foot to the beat. I want to get their latest album "Get Behind Me Satan"

"Clint Eastwood" - Gorrillaz

A f*cking classic with catchy lyrics. I know it all by heart and have the music video in one of my CDs. I think it's a positive song, very worthwhile.

"Drum Solo" from Slipknot's 9.0 Live disc.

Its percussions and done by Joey Jordison. He proves that he is one hell of a drummer. Last almost 4 minute, okay 3:58. Its really just awesome. Fast as hell and flawless. Damn, my dreams of being a drummer are shattered.

"Yellow Ledbetter" - Pearljam

A calm song, the guitar is perfect. I can play the tune on my bass. This is a nice song for quiet time and is very soothing for a rock song. Another classic.

Green Day: American Idiot.

This band is one of my favorites. The music in this is friggen' awesome. At first, Green Day was just another band like My Chemical Romance. But after learning that they were around for about 16 years, I ended up hearing more and more of their music and got used to it. Oh, and another: "St. Jimmy".

GMS - Fingers, from the album Emergency Broadcast System.

GMS is like.. neat. I guess it'd be either Psychedelic or Goa if you want to put a name on it, I'll just stick with knowing that it sounds good. Think illogical rhythms made by unnatural sounds and you're close. (Negative people might say that it's junkie-music.. and uh.. that's true too, LSD junkies especially).

"Reach Out" - Cheap Trick
Currently listening to track 5 on my Heavy Metal CD. People may not know Cheap Trick very well but they sang the "That 70's Show" Theme and the Drew Carrey Show's "Cleveland Rocks" song. The song I'm listening to talks about getting yourself out of trouble by taking what you need. It basically says you need every opportunity if you want to do what you want.

"The other side" - Aerosmith

Listening to my "Big Ones" CD. All of Aerosmith's best songs. This particular song brings back memories of when I first moved to the states as a child. Personally, I think it's one of the best 90's songs out there.

"Question!" System of a Down

Another one of my favorite bands. This one is my personal favorite on the album. It starts really simple at first... then, at 16 seconds in the song, it gets much better.

"Limp Bizkit Sucks!" - Limp Bizkit

This is a pretty funny song where Limp Bizkit tries to sing, "Hey my Boyfriend's Back". He really sucks at this song and one of his drummers is laughing in the background "Hey la! Hey la! *snicker* My boyfriend's back!". "...Hey, were gonna stop riiight now..."

I have to write a 10 page paper, and music with many words distracts me, cause I try to sing along, so I go with the jam band of all time. Great stuff really. Darkstar is such a classic.

Lamb of God - Break you

One of my heavy songs I keep in my custom cd. I'm allowed to bring it to work and play it while people are shopping for spiked jewelry. If you like it soft, you won't like this song. The vocals are VERY deep and there's just enough curse words to make it provacative without being ridiculous. (You might argue with that if you really think you were perfectly GOOD all your life, which is bullshit).
