I was wondering can somebody help me learn to modify scripts in Gold/Silver? I know the basics like give Pokémon, items, etc. But how do I repoint them? Also how do I edit those movement scripts like that old man in Cherrygrove City makes you go around town and then gives you the map card. I really need to know.

Really, this may not be the answer you seek, but it'd be easier just to search for tutorials on the PokeCommunity forums or to find in-depth documents for scripting, because most hackers either don't know or don't have time to explain such a lengthy topic as scripting.

Goldmap. That's the best map editor. And its even in the programs thread I believe. If not, search google... something you should've done before posting this.

Your best bet is to experiment, trial and error. Study and discover what the bytecodes and their arguments will do and note it down, this is how I went around with the Ruby/Sapphire/FR/LG scripting...
