| Uhhh, I would've answered, it may have been an issue regarding performance or he just wants you to fill in for someone. I know it can be tough trying to find someone fit for the job so it may not have been very wise to leave him hanging. :/ | |||

| I'd have probably answered the phone, and if I couldn't (or just didn't want to) fill in, I'd have told him that honestly, not left him\her hanging like that.. Besides, could have been due to a vast amount of other reasons as well, and.. well I just can't see myself ignoring the call purposely. | |||

| I would have answered it, but considering I work at a place that doesn't open until noon, it wouldn't have been about going into work early or anything like that.
If I did work somewhere that opened at 7 am.... I probably would have ignored it too.  |

| I wouldv'e ignored it. If your boss is like my last boss she wouldv'e been pissed but there's nothing she could do about it. I will cover shifts if the person who needs the shift covered asks. I will not cover shifts if the boss asks unless I really need the money.
Not answering means you don't have to lie. |

| Coming from my current job, I wouldn't be sure why they'd call that early, but I'd still answer.
In my first job I used to get calls that time or earlier. It was my boss desperately seeking somebody to fill in. She'd always laugh and say "did I wake you?" too. ~_~ But being a casual and only getting paid for when I work -- I'd always go in. So yeah, in both cases, answer it. |

| I found out what was going on. we open at 9, and the manager who planned to work a 12 hour was in no condition to work his shift, so he was calling for me to come in and work a double. I got called again at 8:40, and was up so i took the call. Ended up being me and another guy for about 11 hours. Man, was he pissed. He had to call in at his night job to help me cover so I wasnt alone untill 8 o clock at night on the 3rd of july. Everyone olse at the store didnt come in, or answer the phone. | |||
