Weather's peachy here. I went to the lake yesterday (omgz Kas skipped a Monday someone call teh boss) and took a long walk along the creek taking cool pictures and digging up fresh water mussels. Sandy bottom ftw. Went swimming after that and got my first official shaved head sunburn. It was pretty hot out but not too humid. *Looks out the window* weather's nice today too.

Shame I have to go to work now. I should get a job teaching high school science and have summers off.

You don't know how damn hot it is. It hasn't rained for days and it is so unbelievely hot I can't even sleep anymore. (81°F at night, if anyone wants to know)

Of course, that allows me to do better at ACS, so... I kinda like it

If it EVER starts raining here that I would like. If Davenport is suddenly under seige from severe thunderstorms, that I shall love.

We've been under extreamly hot humid weather for the past few weeks, it feels like I'm living in hell. Because of this unbearable heat we've already had several people who died from heat stroke and extream dehydration, five of them were elderly people that lived at this old folks home near my block.

Heh, my city is hoping this heatwave won't be a repeat of the 1995 Heatwave that was the cause of 700 deaths around the Quad Cities and in several cities in Illinois.

We had a sudden storm here two nights ago, probably the worst thunderstorm I've ever seen. And it came out of nowhere.

Went to Six Flags Magic Mountain yesterday, that was a blast. I didn't get home until after 1 in the morning... very long drive home. I'm surprised I didn't fall asleep at the wheel.
But man was Magic Mountain fun.

We actually had a sudden storm too, last night... it just came out of (literal) nowhere, and then suddenly and inexplicably vanished shortly after dropping some rain and massive wind.

Right now it's clear outside, too, but supposedly t-storms will be back again later today.

Rather strange, but meh.

Huh. I have never experienced a sudden storm. Where I live, you can always tell when there's a chance of a storm - the clouds get dark. light clouds - it's not goign to rain. medium-grey clouyds? a drizzle. dark clouds? a downpour or worse.

never sudden storms.

And at my ranking in the ACS.

It also happened at my house, but it wasn't that bad since it was only minor in this region. The only problem that I had was that the heatwave has returned after the thunderstorm.

I should really start seeing the weather forecast for any sudden changes.

There was a big storm here too last night. The weather is like unbalanced or something. Instead of just staying at a medium temperature, it gets really hot, then a big cold front comes in and creates a really big storm, then it gets hot again... this has been going on since June.

Pfft. It never drops below 30°C (86°F) in my room. Usually it's 35°C (95°F). Even at night. It sucks, but I can still sleep as well as I ever could.

No storms for me, as I live in the land of eternal sun. 85°F now, but it was 110 at noon.
Hot hot hot.

Anyway, don't expect me to be active until the weekend, as I'm getting my wisdom teeth out tomorrow.

Put it this way - it was calm outside and 2 minutes later there was thunder, lightning, wind and pouring rain.

Only lasted for around 30 minutes but man was it a chaotic 30 minutes.

Where I live, we've had two sudden thunderstorms since June. It's also the only rain we've had all summer.

Both storms hit on the only two days I was out playing golf this summer, and they both hit when I was on the last hole on the course.

Other than that, it's been the normal 105 F in the day, 85 F at night.

That's how my room is now. It's 100F outside, and we don't have air... it's like being locked in a car in the middle of a summer day, it just becomes horribly hot. It sticks around well into the night, until finally arount 2 or 3 in the morning it cools off enough to sleep comfortably. Until about 8am, when the sun is pounding in through my window.
Luckily, we should be getting AC very very soon... I'm really excited

Wow, I'm still on the top 10 after not placing for nearly a week.

Back to the topic, I have to use a fan instead of an AC to keep myself cool over the heat. My parents don't what to set the AC below 82 degrees because they don't want to pay a high electric bill. It's still pretty hot in my room even with the AC on so I just use a fan.

I can't wait till my parents finally install those ceiling fans we bought earlier this month. They're not as loud as the fan I'm using right now.

I make due/do (pick whichever one you see fit).

I don't turn the fan on in the living room, and I have my fan low at night, and I don't even use the AC in the car.

Unless I am sweating like a porn star I don't turn anything on. (<---Make your own jokes)

Then again I have a big yard so the breeze is pretty nice.

Edit:...stuff.

...Due, grey?

Eh... I'm surprised I'm still on the top ten. Anyways, I suppose I might manage to make it into the monthly top ten as well.... probably not though :/

But it's not so hot here. The downstairs is always cool, and we keep a portable air conditioner running all day, so we keep nice and cool.

We just bought ourselves a new Air Conditioner. The old one from the late 80s finally broken down... So right now, the temp is in the 100's again, but our house is absolutely cold.

We only open the windows if it ever rains here... if it EVER rains... --;
