I recently got a hold of "John Carpenter's The Thing" from 1982. Man, watching a guy get his arms bit off by a giant beautifully designed stomach mouth makes me wish I was there to see the movie in theaters.

"I know you boys have been through alot... but when you find the time, I'd rather not spend the next few months TIED TO THIS FUCKING COUCH!!"

Definitely one Kurt Russell movie I need to see still.

Which reminds me, anyone ever seen the Escape movies? I only saw Escape from New York. It was quite different, but cool at the same time. It gave off that futuristic cyber punk feel that Blade Runner, Total Recall (which I'd also say was a great movie ...), and Terminator gave off.

Its also almost humorous just how much Kurt Russell's Snake Pliskin inspired the Solid Snake we see in the Metal Gear games. The way he talks, everything is there. Its pretty awesome.
