Much of this is going to be Greek, having been copied-and-pasted from my topic on the SFCCE boards where I've been getting most of the research for my project. If you do, however, understand any of this post, please direct your attention to my other topic as well. I need all and I do mean all the information I can get.

I've got a fully-translated placeholder inserted for the furniture name list (which is actually just a very small portion of the entire translation I've got done, BTW). These 22 items, to the best of my knowledge, are the only ones actually available in the game: there are 45 names in the list, but only these 22 can be obtained.

However, I've got duct tape and putty covering some holes in the list. I was able to confirm several items, but there are some that I'm not 100% sure about, and a few more that I couldn't find info on at all and had to ad-lib.

Special thanks goes to SFCCE's Margie for the catalogues she provided, plus the info on the three houses.

Anyways. The attached file contains a list of all the original Japanese names plus their equivalent English romanizations and direct translations, and the names I'm currently using in my translation. It also includes screenshots of every item, including the three houses (note that the Rocking Chair has two screenshots; neither view seemed like a good enough reference on its own, so I included both). All the screenshots are stored in .PNG format; the zip file is just over 52K, so it should download quickly even with dial-up.

The list includes notes that tell whether I've confirmed a name in some way (but it never hurts to double-check), which ones are plausible substitutes, which ones I'm just guessing at and which ones fall into the maddening "other" category. I've also numbered all the screenshots and list entries; for example, "sf1k01.PNG" depicts entry 01, "Round Table and Chairs".

I request and accept any and all input regarding this: post, PM, comment on my DevBlog, whatever you feel like. If I've missed something obvious, made a fundamental error or you just plain don't like a name, fire away. I need all the input I can get on this. Seriously.

I'd settle for the topics I've made on SFCCE, but they've been there for two days and ignored. Usually I get fast replies, but I'm desperate this time.

EDIT: Son of a...where the hell is my file attachment? Bah, try this instead. Same file, different board.
