Mega M&M's. They're at least 50% larger than regular M&M's and are very good indeed. I think they just came out recently in both the States and Canada.

(Speaking of us being behind... I saw commercials today for both Black Cherry Vanilla Coke, which we should be getting around now... and Black Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper, which we should have gotten a LONG time ago. Way to fill up the market.)

Very nice. I'll have to remember to get those next time I'm at the store.

As for the cola, they're really reaching for ideas, now. I don't like how they're getting rid of Vanilla Coke just for that one particular twist of tastes, though. It's obvious that some things will just not mix well, no matter what. Quite a gamble they're taking there, but I did read information about it coming back at a later date.

Is it just me, or are soft drink names getting longer?

Soon, the world will be marveling at "Super caffinated extra diet black cherry vanilla strawberry chocolate coke twist code red to the extreme"

Vanilla Coke's still sold here but given how we're getting the new one, I don't know how much longer it'll last.

Coca-Cola Blak will be the next one, it seems... that's coffee flavored. Hello, Danielle's new favorite soft drink.

Vanilla Coke didn't fail though. It found an audience and stuck around for more than 2 years, how can you consider that as a failure?

Now, Pepsi Blue on the other hand...

but...i don't see it sold here in america anymore...

I guess my definition of success is the line being permanently established, not something as a promotion type of thing?

Heh. Pepsi Blue was a failure compared to Vanilla Coke. After that, Pepsi decided to rip off Coca-Cola and make Pepsi Vanilla. They stopped making their Vanilla drink about a year ago. I don't know why Cola Cola is trying to get rid of such a successful drink.

On the other hand, things that seem temporary can become permanent for no reason. Remember Lucky Charms around nine or ten years ago or so? The "clover in the hat" marshmallow was supposed to be a limited edition, but it ended up sticking around for quite a long time. It was only recently that they changed it back to the regular clover. However, the shooting star is still around, which was the same deal as the clover in the hat.

I thought some places still carried Pepsi Vanilla. I mean, it vanished in Canada but I think that's because Coke won that battle.

They did a poll of Quebec teenagers and they preferred Pepsi Blue to Vanilla Coke. I apologize for our lack of intelligence.

I liked Vanilla Coke. I really did. I'm sad it's gone now.

Pepsi Blue... yeah that was a disaster. I remember they tried promoting it with television concerts, pepsi blue being the sponsor... those failed too.

Psht pepsi blue my arse. Vanilla Coke is the only carbonated drink I'll consume.. Sprite occaisionally.

I wonder why a company would want to cut something so successful.

Yech. Thatīs over 40 degrees celsius.

"Coca-Cola Blak will be the next one, it seems... that's coffee flavored. Hello, Danielle's new favorite soft drink." Indeed.

Yuck, Vanilla Coke? Thatīs like the most disgusting carbonated drink ever created. I get naueseous by drinking it.

Fanta Mango Beat tastes wonderful, though.

Pepsi Blue kicked ass.

Seriously. I liked it. Though if I were to gather every Pepsi Blue lover in one room...there wouldn't be much of a crowd.

And they got rid of Vanilla Coke here. T'was my favorite drink and all.

I've seen those large M&M's in the stores a few months ago, I just haven't had the chance to try them yet. The mini's are okay, but they go down way too fast.

As for those drinks, where did you come up with using them as a "title" for me?

Minis are eh. I like eating M&M's one at a time usually, and it takes too frigging long to do that with the Minis... plus there's just not as much taste.

Now, with the Megas, you can easily pace yourself with one at a time.

Well, a quick check at Wikipedia reveals the whole story behind the Mega M&Ms.

"In the summer of 2005, Mars added "Mega M&M's" to the lineup. These candies are 55% larger than the traditional M&M's and are available in milk chocolate and peanut varieties. The colors were also changed to less-bright colors (teal, beige, maroon, gold, brown and blue-gray) to appeal more to adults."

It makes no mention of the Shrek M&Ms, though. Although this might help those who are asking questions about them.
