Okay so like... I was playing Gunbound, then my DSL line dies and I have to go back to my not-laptop comp and use dialup.

THIS IS THE WORST ANYTHING EVER

Dial-up is not bad, it's only hellish when you download big stuff. For surfing around, it's not that bad... as long you don't go to image heavy sites.

Also, Geocities took down my site, presumeably because I was only using it for file hosting. Now my posts are without CSS, and ugly

I have retreated to filespace, but it's less reliable...

Yep, same here. I thought it was kick-ass when we got it but itīs so goddamn slow nowadays because most of us are used to broadband.

You know what? When I played Gunbound, it could disconnect me several times a DAY. It also had hellish lag sometimes.

And I blame the bad programming of Gunbound. It's very client to client based too, at least from the start. Acmlm was able to hack the game fine, yet it was suppodly impossible.

And yes, I was also succeful making similar hacks... before they implented that security thingy. I just used a RAM editor...

Gunbound is better than it was back then, though.

Less 1337 sp33k in the game, you mean? Or less assholes?

Maybe I should start to play it again. If my account is there.

...I hope you're not serious Alastor.

xD

I swear, it's become worse community wise for each time I peek into it.

... I mean the servers are more stable and it's less susceptible to hacking.

Also, my DSL is back.

Yeah, I can see that. Your layout is there again.

"... I mean the servers are more stable and it's less susceptible to hacking. "

Thatīs good since a few of the members here who played Gunbound were hacked.

Lots of the Korean games are/were susceptible to hacks. It's just how they were programmed, really... and by that, I mean "not very well".

They learn their lessons quickly.

Really, it's rather for the best. It's a fun game... Though periodically having someone actually good make another account and unexpectedly kick your ass is not terribly fun

Okay, shoot then.

And has "#Number" been like that this whole time? This is the first time that I noticed it.

Can't we just say it's #8 or 9 and get it over with? Not like anyone would really know the difference to begin with. :\

Because numbers are cool?

I mean, we can't just keep bringing the thread back under different names. It just isn't as effective. At least if it gets up to #20 or something, we can say "Hey, this is a popular thread!" instead of "...WTF?"

What exactly causes the number to get incremented? Did it actually get deleted seven or eight times, or do you also close it after a number of pages?
