I finished my shopping yesterday, so no need to go out today thankfully. Apparently they said that Canada's peak shopping day would be the 23rd, so... maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to head somewhere today.

Danielle might not have to worry about it as much, but Anya's probably not looking forward to Boxing Day/Week either. Those sales on Monday are going to be crazy.

Boxing day is a holiday shortly after Christmas. Basically, it's where you sell all the stuff you didn't sell at christmas, at a discount. Some people wait until then to buy stuff, because again, discount.

How come there's a holiday for the day after Christmas, but not the day after Thanksgiving? I mean, they're equally busy if you ask me.

But day after thanksgiving is in preparation for an upcoming holiday. That's when you jack your prices UP. Then you can discount and get rid of the stuff you didn't sell before Christmas on Boxing Day.

Boxing Day is the 26th. Some stores have sales then (for people to spend the money they got at Christmas) and others have Boxing Week sales that'll last for the next week or so with smaller bargains. (For example, on Boxing Day one of the stores here is selling iPod Shuffles at 50% off.)
