Spoiler tags seem to be a bit iffy no matter what browser you're using. Not sure what's up with the code. Sometimes they get huge, sometimes they don't cover up the text right, not sure if other problems have been noted.

Not covering the text right is because of bad code in layouts.

I know that much,

Must be layout then. Since my layout is based on his, that has to be the problem.

Still, I have no idea what causes it...

Tried it out myself. It froze IE for me... heh... I guess I'll have to be wary of the spoiler tags from now on...

Hm? I've never had any problems with spoiler tags. My having layouts off explains and/or confirms the situation.

Duuuuude.

If I keep making them.

And they don't start averaging as suck.

Statistically, it's pretty damn likely.

See, I'm not entirely convinced it's because of bad code in layouts, as some browsers have the problem and others don't. Calling it "bad code" suggests a more universal issue.

Well, I use photobucket and I think it works great. I COULD use the attachment feature if I´m really lazy sometime.

Or if I reach the limit at photobucket but I´m nowhere close to that yet since it´s at 1.5gb.

Bad code to me, is anything that doesn't look the same in all browsers. Well... that might also be because of a bad browser.

I've always thought that malfunctioning spoiler tags was caused by the font tag... But maybe that is not the case. I will investegate...

Spoiler:
I'm hungry.

Edit: Yes, I found the bug in cpu's layout.

This single line in his CSS makes it happen:

#cpulayout-body div {height: 100%}

It basically sets the height of any div tag inside his layout to 100%. I think it's supposed to be of the box containing the layout, but with the spoiler tag it seems to be of the browser window's size. In lololol, anyway. And since the spoiler tag is a div... Well, you can figure out the rest.

The spoiler tags look fine to me. I rarely have problems with spoilers, but when I do, it's usually KATW's layout...

Well, if you call it bad code, that implies a sort of a blame. And when someone says "you have bad code in your layout" that implies it's the user's fault...whereas the "bad coding" is more likely in some cases to be that of the coder of the spoiler tag itself.

Go ahead.

Spoiler tag or layout. What does it matter? One or both of them are made with some bad code. I mean... it's still bad coding.

In this case, however, I'd blame the layout as the spoiler tag is just a div with black background and black text. The layout then tells the div to stretch which, from my point of view, is not the fault of the spoiler tag.

Well, yes, in that case, but then there's also the other case I mentioned, which is that a few people have said that my text doesn't show up as black in spoiler tags, but rather as red, still. But only people using certain browsers, and that's what I was really getting at.

...well, that's interesting. *glares at KATW*

I'm getting a new layout soon anyway, so... I'll have to remember this info when making it.

When you say at random, do you mean that sometimes you can read the text in my spoiler boxes without highlighting them, and sometimes you can't?

What about now?

Well, as Xkeeper would say (something along the lines of it, at least), it's Acmlm's fault for sloppy coding. Hopefully, this mess with the spoiler tags will be sorted out sometime soon.

On another note, it's note Easter anymore. Time to change the thread title, much?
