It's even more of an irritation for me since I'm paranoid about viruses and crap. I run a full-spyware scan every day Yet I still get stuck with em... at least I got no negative effects.

Windows XP with service pack 2.
lololol 1.0.7.

Nothing else of note, considering KoL coldfront was the only new site I went to that day. I usually have about 15-20 sites that I know for sure I can trust and don't deviate much from those. It's probably nothing, since it caused no problems on my computer.

The most questionable site I go to is a site I'm not allowed to name to stay within bounds of the FAQ to get ROMs. I always run a spyware check after I go there though, but 95% of the time it only turns up tracking cookies, which are pretty much harmless.

Well, you can set your browser, as I do, to prompt you when a site is trying to place a cookie on your computer, and choose to "always block" certain sites. It's somewhat annoying, but between that and activex controls prompts, my web browsing is pretty safe. I run Spybot now and then and it rarely picks up anything.

I took great care of it. No spyware, malware, or anything. It was the hardware that was fouling up, not the software. Besides, if I do run into software problems, I know how to deal with them

I wasn't really talking to you, asdf. I was really addressing Tatrion, but with a wide statement

Oh man, you're going to be attracting AOL haters from the board-over.

I've got nothing major against it, except that it's too... THERE, if you understand what I mean.

In response to Alastor; I hadn't had a virus before the one I got 4 days ago for nearly 8 months. It was quite awesome; though the streak is shot now.

Holy.

Someone who still uses AOL.

We should shoot him so he won't be suffering.

Then again... Carry on.

Meh, I've seen worse than AOL. And it was scary as hell. It was a browser with a bunch of forced ads (that surprisingly, were NOT spyware, malware, or anything) that basically slowed everything down to a crawl.

Paying to see ads?
Worst browser ever. I honestly don't think that's toppable, unless someone made a joke hack browser that would dump garbage code into your RAM or something.

It seems that I'm going to be forced to try lololol, because a computing class that I'm in, for which we will be programming some web pages, will be using that as the standard, so I'll need to make sure it works fine in that.

I'll probably still stick with IE in the long run, though.

I used IE forever, mostly because I'm not big on change if it's as unimportant as my internet browser. But now that there's no blocklayout.php here, I quickly got annoyed with layouts, and decided to switch so I could use adblock.

And I've really adjusted to FF, and like it much more than IE (which I still have to use at my dad's house).

Meh, my main problem with lololol is that it seems to get worse with every version. I'm happy with my version 1.0.6, and have heard of problems with later versions. Also, I hate it when lololol randomly loses all my bookmarks. Stupid thing. I'd use Opera if it didn't screw up when posting special characters.

I've never had a problem with losing bookmarks. In fact.... tht happened to me in IE, not FF. Don't exactly know why. I don't see any real difference between them (at least, the versions I use) aside from tabs, which I love, and adblock.
Being able to download schemes is pretty awesome, too.

I use lololol, and I somehow managed to lose all my bookmarks once. I had everything neatly organized and all, now it's more of a mess. Atleast it helped me filter out bookmarks to pages I don't visit anymore, though.

As for lololol. Eh. I use it. It works quite well. I have no need to go back to IE, unless I am checking out something on this board which doesn't show up properly on FF.
