By too much time, you mean 10 minutes, which is entirely too much time.

For the record, I hated it in the first one and I hate it now. It's gross.

I don't know how "gross" would really be a problem. What was so bad about it in the first one? I thought it, and most of the areas, were actually really great, much better than most of the areas in the sequel, which seem largely bland.

The camera in KH somehow made me hate it.

That and the fact that I really didn't find the battle system to be fun.

I stopped playing after a few hours. No intention of playing the second one.

KH2 is very awesome.

The first one had many flaws, but the second one fixed most of those things. First person view is nice for spotting item chests.

Meh. I think this type of gameplay is what FF should become.

For all the gameplay improvements and flaws they fixed, I feel it's an inferior game...much less free roaming, which I liked a lot about the first one.

I enjoyed the first Kingdom Hearts, to some extent. Kind of a decent game, with blatant commercialism all about of course. I eventually got bored of it near the end, however. I have no plans to pick up on it again (besides, the disc has been scratched up to oblivion), nor any plans to play the sequel.

Well, you can get the first one pretty cheap now, so it would be easy to finish it up from your old save. I just did the basic quest the first time, but ALL the extras my second time through...which was fun.

Also, side-quests suck.

This has little to do with current discussion, but dammit, it's true.

Unfortunetly, due to an incident with a memory card, I lost my KH save games. So no continuing the game there, even if I wanted to.

Speaking of extras, I have a habit of getting everything in collect-a-thon games (or other games with varied secrets and stuff, from RPGs to GTA) the first time around. Am I a bad man for this?

Uhh, gives the game less lineary.

I like the side-quest to make the Ultimate Keyblade. It's like spending six hours getting items.

Then the ultimate side-quest. Sephiroth.

So? I totally deleted all of my RPG saves, because I never finish them. And then i started up KH for the 10000000th time and beat it within a week. XD

I disagree, they are fun but only if they're well thought out *see Zelda Majoras mask* and dosen't feel like work *see Wind Waker*.

I never really like Kingdom Hearts. The whole idea of "Disney + Final Fantasy" just didn't appeal to me.

By the way, I love Oleana. Dunno why. Probably because I like tropical music and jellyfish.

Have you actually played KH, though? Because I actually felt exactly the same way you did, and then heard good things about it and decided to get the first one...and I absolutely loved it. It was wonderful. On my second playthrough I decided it was my favorite game of all time.

The sidequests in the first one didn't seem like nearly as much work as the ones in the sequel do. Yet another reason I like the original better.

I was the same way with the orginal Kingdom Hearts until I read a thread here about it. I think it was one of Kharpern's (lets see who remembers her. ) posts that got me to finally buy the game.

Totally worth it.

I didn't like the whole concept (the disney stuff).

Then I played the game.

I didn't like it.

Hmm...I believe that was the name of a staff member on the first incarnation but I'm not sure.

That's right, Khar was a really great full mod who seems to have disappeared. And her email address that I had no longer works, as I discovered when I decided to send one of those "I haven't talked to you in forever, are you still alive?" emails a few weeks ago.

And I see you finally got the spelling right, Anya
