If you were being serious, you're wrong. Typhoons and hurricanes are the same thing. The common term is cyclone.

The terms Hurricane or Typhoon are used depending on which region the cyclone appears in.

Atlantic and pacific east of the dateline = hurricane.
Pacific west of the dateline and Indian ocean = typhoon.

Tip is not cheating. Tip über-pwns. Well, pwned.

If you weren't being serious, I'm sorry.

I just had to point it out just in case..

Though, cyclone does not exclusively mean hurricanes or typhoons. A tornado is another well known type of cyclone.
