Bah, that's nothing, I've gotten over 300,000, and my brother regularly gets over 500,000.

Tetris is a truly wonderful game.

I played some "Tetris on Acid" type game before. It's the same as normal Tetris, only instead of levels, you take different dozes of drugs. I have to find the link to that.

Sky: On the normal, NES Tetris, on the console?

My high score is over 400000, maybe 470000 but I'm not sure. I haven't played Tetris for months before those games

On the normal, on the console, yes. The game is almost permanently stuck in my NES at home, as it's one of the only games my mom plays, as well as one of the few games I've played on that system since I got my PS2 on Christmas in 2002.

Dunno what my high score is. Definitely six digits but it's not like I can remember precisely how I got it...

I consider myself to be good. That's all you need to know.

My mom's boyfriend, in 1994 or something, played nothing but Tetris...

I was always upset because he would play my Gameboy until the batteries would die, and I'd never get a chance to play it

It was probably Microsoft Tetris.

Sure, it's the worst tetris game out there but I bet that if you're sleepdeprived and only caffiene get's you going, you're going to get a hell of a trip with thoose MS paint graphics.

No, that wasn't it. It was something completely different. Which I have still yet to find. There was one version, but it was made for DOS and not the one in question.

Oh, Microsoft Tetris wasn't really THAT bad, I mean, it got the key parts of the game, and that's what matters. Then again, I was satisfied with the version of Tetris I had running on my TI-82. Yeah, not TI-83, but the older, more primitive version. Man, I played so much of that in math class...

Bah. I donīt like Tetris very much. It can be fun to play every now and then but itīs nothing I play regularly.

Reminds me about that one tetris remix in which a guy says: Letīs play some tetris, motherf*er.

Okay guys.

I've been writing a Yugi Mutou FAQ for Jump Super Stars for GameFAQs, since the one currently up is really bad and Yugi's my favorite character in that game (No, YOU shut up).

It is just... Sad. I'm not even halfway through and the FAQ is already bigger than the one already up, even with its pointless filler

Bigger does not necessarily mean better. In fact, I generally want the shortest FAQ that tells me everything I want to know. Longer is only a better FAQ when it's longer because it has more useful information.

Might say that I didnīt get sick afterwards this time.

I stopped reading there, making the post all the better.

Seriously though, that sucks. Funny story, I recently have obtained a laptop over the use of Spring Break (my normal computer is having automatic reseting problems). On the third day I used it, I raped some random guy's internet by transfering well over 4 Gigabytes of information through (even though I only ended up using around 1). When I tried to connect again, it had "limited or no connectivity". But it's back on now, so...

Let us compare:

The vast majority of the length of his FAQ is trivial information and things that have nothing to do with gameplay.

The vast majority of the length of my FAQ, so far, comes from the length of the notes I wrote down about every attack. I'm a hell of a lot more detailed than the other guy. Just compare the two:

His:

Forward + Y: Curse of Dragon
Notes: Yugi waves his arm as the Curse of Dragon appears above him and lets loose with flame in front of him.
Damage: 13

Mine:

Yugi summons Curse of Dragon above and in front of him to blow fire diagonally down in front of him. Yugi cannot move until the end of the attack, lasting 11 frames. The attack damages on frames 5 through 8. It hits from about one and a half to three and a half character lengths away in front of Yugi, and it hits characters above him up that are about between one and two character lengths from him. The move has a sweet spot where it hits twice. This is located about three character lengths away directly in front of Yugi. The sweet spot is larger for characters slightly in the air. There is another sweet spot where the move hits three times. This can only hit characters on the platform immediately above the one Yugi, and is located in a precise margin within approximately one and a quarter character lengths from Yugi. The opponent must remain on the platform above Yugi in order to be hit by all three hits; if they are knocked off prematurely it will only hit with two. Also, Above him and about two character lengths from him the attack will deliver two hits. (Obviously, these two do not work in arenas with no near platforms, or under slippery platforms.)

Damage: 13 per hit, up to 3 hits

I defy you to find a way that mine isn't as good.

Okay, you know what Kyouji, I prefer the first one. Why? Yours is needlessly overworded, and totally unorganized. Sure, it has all the information, but thats the problem, it has ALL the information... in a very... non user-friendly fashion. A wall of text is not user friendly.

However, something like...

Attack Title: Curse of Dragon
Notes: BLAH BLAH ATTACK DESCRIPTION WHEN TO USE ETC.

Attack Trigger: Forward + Y
Attack Length: 11 Frames
Attack Duration: Frames 5-8
Hit Direction: In front, and above
Hit Spot: 1.5 to 3.5 character lengths in front, and 1 to 2 character lengths above
Sweet Spots
-Two Hits: Three character lengths in front, and two character lengths above
-Three Hits: On the platform above Yugi (1.25 character lengths*)

Total Damage: 13
Number of Hits: Up to 3

*Note: Character must stay on platform to be hit by all three attacks.

INSERT BAD ASCII ART HERE IF YOU CHOOSE. ALONG WITH GOOD STRATEGY ON WHEN TO USE.

... Might win me, and possibly more people, over in an FAQ.

You have the information. Organize it properly...

It's not done, KATW. I still need to format it obviously. I'm just saying that it's a lot more useful as it contains much more useful information than simply saying it does damage.

I do agree that it's not very userfriendly. It should be done in a way that it's more easily comparable to other attacks, like in a format such as KATW mentions. Simple is good.
