I actually didn't use the Mac trash can, or any other refrence other than the old tin cans you sometimes still see in use lying around... all I'd need to do is paint (... rather hard on that size, really) "800" on it for it to be a real, garden variety tin trash can... though I did comment on the irony of it being a "trash can" on a windows system. :p

I have to wonder why you're even taking a web design class. It seems a hell of a lot easier, faster, and cheaper to just find an online tutorial for this stuff.

Eh. It's better than spending 45 minutes a day making pottery. Besides, I sit next to the only three seniors in WD2, and they basically goof off most of the time. Since the computer I'm on has Fireworks, I get to goof around with pictures and stuff. I once turned a picture of a little girl into a Klingon.

Yeah, mac is definitely not environmentally friendly. They have a trash can, while Windows has a recycling bin. Much more politically correct.

And I need to take the basic computer programming course during my last term at school...it's supposed to be a good class.

Yeah, I used a Mac way before I used Windows (this would be far back in the day), and when I saw the recycling bin in windows, I was like "wtf cheap ripoff"
like they were all "trash... that's a good idea for a file deleting tool. but let's call it the RECYCLING BIN so it doesn't look like we stole it!"

I mean, recycling bin doesn't even make sense, you're deleting the file

they should have called it the VAPORIZER

of course, now recycling bin seems perfectly natural because I've used Windows for years and years, but you reminded me of my initial reaction

vaporizer... or incinerator... or terminator

Yeah, but you can save things from a recycling bin. Incenerator kind of implies once you delete it, it's gone.

Besides, garbage cans are dirty.

It is like recycling. Because you can retrieve stuff from the bin, or you can replace them with... More memory. Instead of having them be removed.

Well, it's not really that different. In both cases, you put stuff in the trash/recycle-bin, and it's there until you empty it.

I guess that makes Windows a bit more clean...since taking stuff out of the trash = ewwww

Well, I suppose it's because not everyone has the money to buy Photoshop, or the lack of morals needed to pirate it. After all, this forum is mainly made up of lower-middle class to middle class people with a lot of morals.
