I thought being a person of small stature and being "the little guy" were two completely different things, the latter of which is completely unrelated to physical size.

Oh, and my little brother is much taller than me, despite me being quite tall myself and given the fact that I'm around 3 years older than him. I don't mind that, though.

I think I'm a bit taller than my older brother, which near as I can tell, would bother him to no end. So in the interests of keeping peace, I slouch a bit so as not to press the point.

That's amazing. Same general situation with my bro

I mean, he seems rather upset that... I'm so much further than him in everything, despite him being older... I got my GED awhile ago and he still hasn't finished high school or gotten an equivalence degree (He's 21, too), and I'm going to college this year while he still lives at home...

Sad...

One thing I forgot to mention earlier. I have a perfect height-to-weight ratio. My little brother...doesn't. So, I guess that makes us even. My family has a history of such unusual cases of growth, though. One of my cousins with a condition similar to my brother's once reached 7 feet.

Well, it's a bit different for me, since my brother is rather accomplished. I have a good job awaiting for me upon graduation, but my brother went to law school and has been working...and being rather successful...as a lawyer for a couple years now. About the only leg up I have on him is something else I don't bring up. That being the History and Social Sciences Award from my high school. He really thought he deserved it his graduation year, and someone else got it. I didn't really think about it at all, and I got it. 3.5 years later he still doesn't know I got it, since I think it would bother him a lot.

Don't get too upset about it. Particularly because of two things:

1. Not everyone reveals their height; mostly the tall people do, so you get a biased sample set.

2. People lie. This is one of two things a lot of guys lie about the size of on the internet.

Really, I'm sure it's not as bad as you make it out to be.

I'm shortish... 5' 3" I think. I wasn't sure of my height when I got my driver's permit, so I said 5' 6". My mom thought that was hilarious

They measured and weighted me, so...

According to my permit I'm 5'8" though. I got it awhile ago.

You're taller than me, Kyouji. And younger. So there you go. Happy?

It's probably only by a small margin, though... I skirt between 5'8 and 9 for some reason.

Well, the last time I measured how tall I was, I was around 5'8". I still haven't finished growing yet, but my doctor said I'll probably get 3 or 4 inches taller when I reach max height.

Last time I checked, I was over 5 feet tall but I don't remember exactly how tall. I checked my permit but it didn't say my height. I'm too lazy to measure myself so I'll just wait till I get my real license in July to see my true height.

They're not always right. I think they said I'd be around 5'8" or so, meaning I surpassed their expectations by a fair margin.

Don't beat yourself up over it.

Honestly, you lot seem rather obsessed with height. So long as you're below 5'5" or so, you're not in the "REALLY SHORT" range, and unless you're going to play basketball or do some other activity in which height provides a big advantage, really, it doesn't matter all that much. Besides, shorter people (other than the really short ones) actually tend to be a bit healthier later in life, as less stress is put on their bones.

It's based on how disproportionately tall I was when I was born, actually..l Two feet tall.

Edit: Skydude, conversation cycles in this thread. We talk a lot on what everyone's talking about
