I dare you to make less sense.

I never said she did make much sense.

General rule I've noticed...short person, short temper. She's 4' 11".

My friends 4'10" and a sweetheart [=. She's legally a midget since she turned 18 three days ago. Awe<3 .. Dom.

I'm 5'2" and pretty laid back. I think that's pretty short for a girl.

And...I said *general* rule. She's pretty cool, until something upsets her.

I'm glad we're all in agreement then, that dating m' little sister is unhealthy, but not fatal.

Wait, 4'10 is legally a midget? What's the cutoff for that? Because one of my exes, great girl, still friends with her...better recently than before, actually, is 4'11, and she's almost 20. Though I suppose since when I dated her, when I was 18/19 and she wasn't 18 yet, she wouldn't be a midget yet, even if she is now...

Funny thing is, the guy she's gone in and out of being engaged to (twice now) is 6'6 or so. I was 5'7 when I dated her and thought THAT was a rather large difference...

From Wikipedia...

According to the Little People of America, the definition is stated as "a medical or genetic condition that usually results in an adult height of 4'10" (147 cm) or shorter, among both men and women, although in some cases a person with a dwarfing condition may be slightly taller than that."

So I guess that is true. 4'11 is close enough for them to be "socially" (so to speak) considered a midget, though.

4'11, sadly, does not mean you're a midget. I have a few friends who are that height, and I can't call them a midget. It sucks, man. You have to be 4'10 or shorter, and 18 or older.

All this talk about midgets make me feel tall.

Good ol' 5'6"

Danielle: So, if they were shorter than 4'11" you would call them midgets? Pfft, if I were that short and a friend of mine called me a midget...I would stab them in the knee caps.

Well, you can sue God. And you'll win when he doesn't show up in court. Then the only problem would be collecting the money. I've heard of it happening, some times. One person sued God for letting lightning strike her roof while her husband was up there; same scenario.

The smallest females I know are around the 5'0" range... so yeah. That would be "petite", not "midget" level.

You can usually tell the difference between a medical condition and genes when it comes to small people, I find.

Well...m' sister is just short. Not a dwarf. Her arms, legs & head, compared to a normal person, are proportionate.
Had to be careful as to phrasing that...somebody may've said something that would've triggered big brotherly protective instincts....

Oh, so even if a girl is really short, if she's proportionate then she wouldn't be a midget? In that case my ex doesn't qualify, as she's quite well-proportioned....everywhere...

Dwarves are the ones with disproportionate limbs and/or head. Midgets are basically smaller people. That is the difference.

Hey, nothing wrong with being 5'9", Alastor. I grew an inch since I dated the girl (so I'm currently 5'8" for those without basic math skills), and that's been plenty tall. Granted, I'm not going to be seeing over everyone's head, but it's really about average or so for a guy. Though there is the unfortunately well-documented fact that taller men tend to earn more money than average or shorter ones. Seriously.
