| interesting info form another forum (I think this relates to the bar scene):
".. a guy can have a wingman and a guy can have a wingwoman but a girl cannot have a wingman or a wingwoman. She can have what we call a c*ckblocker....which essentially performs some of the duties of a wingman but is not. A guy has a wingman... that wingman "takes one for the team" occassionaly, turns are traded out according to who saw which girl first..... Wingmen also run interference, yakking to the group of girls while the guy makes a stealth move after cutting his choice from the herd. A wingwoman goes with a guy to "look good" and show that the guy is capable of getting a hottie. This is necessary when most girls don't know you're hot and need to be told. The wingwoman is also good for initiating conversations with girls, allowing the guy an entrance into the girl crowd without scaring away all the females. But, having a wingman reeks of desperation... asking someone to be your wingwoman that is... and is usually done only out of feeling sorry for the guy and his complete helplessness at obtaining a hottie by himself and lacking the approprite male bonding skills to obtain a wingman on his own instead. A girl with a wingman is a total waste of resources, no woman needs any guy to help her pick up other men. If some girl asks you to be her wingman, she just needs someone to escort her through the door so it looks like she didn't come there specifically to pick up a man, which she will and will even introduce him to you, the ball-less wonder who was seen walking in with a girl who was seen walking out with someone else. Say no to any wingman offer from a female. A girl with another girl for a wingman is kidding herself. What she has is a c*ckblocker and a very good one at that. All women are good at this... preventing her from getting you. The counter-measure for this is, of course, your wingman who you send in to take put the c*ckblocker either by flirting, outright suggestion or failing all other means, asking her to dance. The object is to get the c*ckblocker away from the girl so your man can make his move. Wingmen.... get one, be one. It's the man thing to do." |
