I had this sudden urge to make a series of comics, so...I started This is my first comic...ever, so hopefully it's half-decent and whatnot.

Gotta love swap switches, huh?

Any comments, anything I could improve on?

Haha, nice! The Shy Guy launching the Toady to who knows where is hilarious.

It's not funny.

It's just... Eh. It looks like every other ameteur comic around here. It needs to be funny. Okay, sure it's better than Ansem's comic, but...

Eh...

Also, it needs to not stretch the tables in 1024x768.

I understand that. But then, I know it takes a lot to make you laugh, so yeah

Of course, it is just the first comic ... I'm sure I can think of some better jokes in the future

(and yeah, I noticed it stretches after I posted )

Well, 'tis okay. But shy-guys rule, so its potentially good. PLEASE KEEP MARIO OUT OF YOUR COMIC! He makes me sick. And no yoshi-kirby mix-up. Its awesome, but used already.

I didn't plan on using Kirby...just Yoshi and Baby Mario for now

Here's the second one....hopefully better than the first.

That joke would be MUCH better with a fuzzy and with no explanatory comment. It's alright, but that would just... Yeah.

Well, I guess that's a step-up from my first, so thanks I guess you're right about the fuzzy too...I was considering putting some in later, but now that I look at it, it would have fit in well there...

EDIT: Alright, here's the 3rd one.

Damn sprite interaction

I completely disagree with Mr Juarez. That was the funniest one so far. my suggestion, don't make a comment on your own comic right afterwards unless its "to be continued...." or something. It seems like "Damn Sprite Interaction" was supposed to make the comic funnier, when it did no such thing.

I have advice,
When it's night (like you first comic), Don't make the borders black.
Otherwise, it looks good. (But you could work on your funniness.)

Nah, not really trying to make it funnier, just sort of a finishing comment. I do see your point though, and I will take that advice.

@Snifit: Good point on the borders...glad you like it

I'll post #4 in a while

I agree with Juarez. Where is the source of humor? A bunch of random things that happen rarely work. It just makes no sense.

Don't make me start posting my comics again.

I....wasn't really trying to make it random. Nor am I trying to make every single panel a laugh-your-ass-off sensation. I was mainly just trying to make it entertaining, like the other comics on the board do. If I fail at it, I'll stop. I was just doing it out of fun

Well, considering you're one of the more intelligent members of the board, do you really think I should continue and try to shape up some things, or call it quits? As I said earlier, I was mainly doing it for fun. I won't really get offended or anything

While they may not be the funniest comics I've seen, they are far from the worst, and I think you have a lot of room for improvement if you make the effort. And I know that you're an intelligent member of the board, and WILL make the effort, so I say keep going.

Just work on your jokes, keep it looking clean, and make sure you have a plot that will last, because making random comments with no storyline aren't very good.

Thanks, I appreciate it ...I'll try my best at making it better, because now that I actually reread over #3, I realize how stupid the balloon joke actually is

I gave another shot at it, and I'm actually pretty proud of the results this time, so here's #4:

Yoshi better get his guard up...he has a whole bunch of crazy Shy-Guys coming his way. But will they make the jump ok?

yes
