| hey their,
I'm pretty new to pokemon hacking and I'm using a mix between Elite Map, Advance MAp, and Advance-Text to edit Fire Red. I whanted to ask, in Advance text, when you create a new text thing, it also asks for an offset. well when I tried making my own offset, putting in random numbers for an offset(yes I used the same ammount of numbers used in offsets) I get a glitch and it freezes the game. is their any way to create a random offset without having a glitch? oh yeah and how do you make somthing in an event so that you get an item, or somthing else besides text happens. Thanks ![]() |

You don't randomly insert a offset. You look with a hex editorfor free space. Usually a lot of 00's or FF's. You could search more for your information... About creating events: You use scriptED and create a new one there is a command list and a tutorial list with elite map. Or you could create scrips with a hex editor.. but it's not fun. |

| Allright thanks.
oh yeah and @Yoronosuku At the time when I said I'd just post all my questions in one topic I didn't know that you couldn't edit nor double post your topics, so It was more convenient to make another topic rather then waiting another 24 hours to make another post ![]() |
