I don't see where all the magma would come from. Because I mean... It's gotta be some meteor if it's gonna make a hole all the way into the core... which would probably result in the Earth cracking, anyway. Maybe I'm missing something.

I believe that some virus or something will kill us one day. I mean, ok, there's always some immune people, but if it keeps mutating and it's really aggressive... Just look at how fast the bird flu spread.

Seriously, that was scary though. It was also a good chance to practice some Japanese.

It's really unlikely that a virus is going to kill everyone. That's horrible virus behavior and doesn't offer an advantage to it. Kill enough people that survivors, carriers, and immunes are too few and far between to reproduce and carry on the species, that's much more likely, but the chances are still pretty dismal.

The heat generated from the impact was so intense that it melted that area of the Earth’s crust and a large portion of the “meteor”.

I think this is a far more realistic video, myself.

Yeah, that was my reply in my head as well. But I wasn't going to say it and be a smartass.

Nicely done.

I have my moments.
Not many, but I do have them.

I always wanted a meteor strike big enough to blow the earth into smithereens. Now, that'd be great.
