This is what it looks like when you just start to play the game:

this is what it looks like when you beat the first level:

this is what it looks like after beating level 2:

This is how i did the patches:

You cant just put down the green mario path thing and expect the map to work automatically. You have to draw the events to go along with the levels, otherwise you get that.

By the way, those screenshots are pointlessly huge. ZSNES has a button to take screens. I think its 'p' or something. Look in the menu, you will find it.

That didn't help at all..
The only Advice I can give is check the Lunar Magic's Help file. Keyword "Events".

I think it's F1 or F2 to show the menu. Unless you mean there's a button to just take a screenshot without using the menu?

Of coures there is. It doesn't default to P, though. Or anything. You have to map it to something

It's F9 for me.

What's wrong is that you didn't change the events of the old yoshi island. go on overworld, press 8x8 event edtior button and keep pressing page up until you see all the events that should have happened in the original untouched overworld. highlight these and delete them to make new paths you will need to put 8x8 path tiles on the far right column. *it can't be seen in event editor only regular 8x8 editor. after you put the brown paths tile somewhere in there press the layer 2 event tile selector button. scroll down with the down arrow key and you should see them. paste them onto your overworld and make sure which ever level 1 is has the first event. you should see it when you page up or page down. if it says event 1 then paste them where you want mario to move onto level 2. This will create a brown path when you beat level 1. *It goes to level 2* like the game has when you regularly play it. BTW if you didn't know, if you deleted the original yellow switch palace to get it to get smashed you need to press the castle like button and you should see the events open a clean rom of SMW and enter the same event there.

Note: The color of the switch will be green if you didn't change pallete. chnage the green color to yellow. to find out whihc green open a original rom and go to where the switch palace is. press the pallete button and look for which pallete is yellow then go back to your ROM and see where the yellow should be . Change it to yellow and you will be good to go.

*Hoped it helped*

The problem is that you didn't delete and re-do the Layer 2 Events. Soulblader pretty much said the same thing, but he said it in unbearable ass-speak. What you need to do is go into Layer 2 Events mode, press Page Up until all of the original Yoshi's Island paths appear, and delete them all. Then, you just lay paths from the Layer 2 Event Tile Selector in the events that they are needed in (select the event with Page Up/Page Down).
