Good luck!

I'm more worried about Montreal next year... the Impact could lose SEVERAL players to Toronto FC in the MLS. I'll cheer Toronto because they're the lone Canadian team there but if we lose our key players, next season is going to hurt. A LOT.

Ew MLS...

There is a total of like three players in the MLS that have the skills to play in Europe, if that. Clint Dempsey is the real deal...and past that I got nothing. US player suck

Toronto FC gets to stock mainly Canadian players as opposed to American ones (like most teams), so there'll be a couple of internationals there. Greg Sutton (GK) could be one if an European club doesn't snatch him up first... he's fantastic.

As far as the Champions League goes... YAY CELTIC. ^_____^ HUGE win today at home against Benfica... 3-0 stuns me a bit but I'll gladly take it. Barring any mishaps, we should get into the Round of 16... but we only have one home game left and it's against Man U. :\ Hopefully it doesn't come down to the FCK game...

(Surprisingly, the matchup chosen today on TSN was United beating FCK 3-0... but tomorrow we get Chelsea vs. Barca. I fear for Chelsea, I really do.)

Yeah ESPN2 had the Man U game then the Arsenal game. (Hey now Wayne Rooney, looking much sharper)

Barca has a huge advantage, and Chelsea is down a word class keeper for quite awhile...

Aren't they on their third-stringer? Oh, how I'm going to love ribbing the other reporter about that...

Cech might be done for the year, Cudicini's probably out for a week at least.

Granted, the third-string goalie alone doesn't guarantee Barca victory... but it sure doesn't hurt.

Yeah even Lehmann was talking about the need for more protection for goalies, although as a goalie myself I say it just comes with the territory. I was never afraid to come off my line, but I guess a cracked skull might change my view (literally).

Also, I don't see what kind of protection could be offered to keepers. What kinds of rules could they make...?

Keepers can wear a hat, not unlike... oh bother, who was the guy on the New Zealand Knights? Can't find a pic, but the guy was wearing a cap on the pitch. Didn't do him much good, as they predictably got pasted...

I thought about that, but dismissed it as rediculous.

Anyways, HEY NOW CHELSEA! Henrique Hilário, welcome to the best moment of your life....

Although that's not to say he had to do anything phenomenal, he just did what he had to and beat one of the top teams in the world. Also though...Barca looked just average.

It doesn't hurt that he was the beneficiary of a SWANK Drogba score.Wheels around on his left foot, knocks it in with his right.

Also, PLEASE tell me Peter Crouch pulled his trademark out of mothballs. If finding joy in a 6'7" guy doing the Robot is wrong, I don't want to be right.

No doubt that was a sick shot, but did anyone else see/hear John Buccigross try to do highlights of that game?

For starters, he called Xavi by his full name, and I had to think for a minute, who the hell he was talking about. Then of course, even though Ronaldinho did slightly south of nothing that whole game besides this one pass, they show his little heel flick and go bananas. "JUST LOOK AT THAT TOUCH BY RONALDINHO, AMAZING SKILL." Nextly him saying Didier Drogba was also quite hilarious, but to hear him fumble over what to say when he shoots it was equally funny. Apparently nobody in the entire SportsCenter organization has seen a football match before, and the entire thing was butchered.

Bah, Hilario didn't impress me. Sure, he had some perfectly acceptable saves, but nothing that you wouldn't really expect from a Premiership goalie. His attempt at picking down the ball when you had that duel in the box though, showed that he is not exactly the greatest goalie in the world.

He didn't cost Chelsea the game, and in the end that's the most important thing.

It's Hilario's birthday tomorrow and he gets the start against Portsmouth. Can lightning strike twice?

I'd say so. Portsmouth is a serious downgrade from Barca, even though they're at the top of the tables, and Barca looked very average.

All he has to do is essentially not do something really stupid, and Terry & Co. will keep most of the shots way out.

I have an inkling that Sheva might find the back of the net too *fingers crossed*

They did the job. Hell, teams that wear blue seemed to do the job today in England.

You should have put money on Sheva to score.

Lillestrøm has had thousands of goalscoring opportuinities, they should have had a penalty, they've been controlling the entire match, while Tromsø has played most of the match looking like a 4th division team and only manage to create one goal scoring opportunity..

The score is Lillestrøm 0 - Tromsø 1

Please, please, please, please, please don't let Lillestrøm score in the last 15 minutes...

Edit: We just got the cheapest penalty ever, 0-2!

All the unfair shit that has happened to us this season seems to be made up for in this match alone! 6 minutes left now...

Edit: It's all over! Lillestrøm got a goal 2 minutes into injury time after a horrible mistake by defender Steen and goalie Ramovic, but who cares? We won!
