In case you haven't heard yet (In which case you must totally suck at life), Maddox of The Best Page in the Universe fame released his first actual book last Tuesday, entitled The Alphabet of Manliness.

First off, it is a great book so far. I am not very far into it yet, as I just picked up my copy today (Along with a few other books in this vein), but it is quite genius. It is all new material, but it stays true to the Maddox we've seen in the website. His format is different, and you do have to pay money for it ($10 at your local bookstore), but he has clearly NOT sold out; He holds no punches in this book. He is still the Maddox we all knew back when he updated his website more than twice a year.

For those who haven't guessed already, it's both a tribute to manliness and a satire of overly macho men, and it is written similar to a children's book. Each chapter is a different letter, which represents a different manly thing. I won't spoil anything yet, as most people still probably haven't read it, but... Just take my word for it, it is damn clever.

As much as I am afraid to link to this now, the single best review of the book I have ever seen was written by Tucker Max (Please, I am not advocating his moral beliefs or personal behavior in this thread; I am simply linking to him because of his intellctual value, and the fact that his review is extremely well written. You are wecleome to PM me if you have a something to say to me about this.) As always, a bunch of people have totally missed the picture and decided that sarcasm and satire do not exist, and that everything that someone writes is meant to be taken literally, which means that Stephen Colbair is obviously an extreme right-winger and he is not a parody of anything AT ALL. I don't think more needs to be said about why I think this girl's article sucks.

Anyways, sorry if I rambled too much; I'm hyper from a combination of drinking too much caffiene while sitting still and reading. I just wanted to know if anyone else had picked up his book or is going to, and what people thought about it.
