It has been confirmed that Adult Swim is going to be airing Pee Wee's Playhouse in July. What the hell are they on for putting such stupid shows back on? First it was Saved by the Bell and now this. I don't even want to name the old cartoons they air/aired either. I just went on the message boards to check out stuff and I saw that. Why [AS] why?

I think they're trying to a Noggin/The N route with Cartoon Network and Adult Swim. I have no idea why, but it's their channel. They're both treated as separate channels for ratings purposes as is, so... (shrug)

The whole novelty shows being aired now simply caters to the fact that things we loved back then were truly stupid but we didn't notice since we were young.

They simply air it so we can laugh at how absurd the stuff was. Then to laugh at ourselves for liking it before.

It's why, now, you laugh at the jerry curl. Back then it was all the rage. Now, it's just silly.

I will watch Pee Wee. Simply because I don't remember most of things that happened before.

Plus I want to see Lawrence Fishburne as "Cowboy Curtis"

I apologize for using the word 'back' and 'then' too much in this post.

I'm wondering why CARTOON NETWORK is showing live-action stuff.

In Canada, you need a license to operate a TV station and you need to state what you're going to show. So if your license states that you're not going to show live-action stuff and you do... you're in trouble.

Cartoon Network has showed cartoons since the 90s. Why do you care NOW? The vast majority of what they show is cartoons anyway, so.

although, if you use something like children's programming...then doesn't that cover most of what CN shows?
