hi im kinda new to hacking so i was wondering if anyone had any links to useful but easy tools so i can hack/make either a new pokemon emerald style game or a new DBZ gba style game....can anyone please help me

You should always read the sticky posts when posting in a new forum.

In the editor database sticky, first page, there is a link to "Advance Map" and "Elite map". Two very powerful and easy to use Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire editors. I believe they support Emerald to a certain degree as well. They are all virtually the same game, so editing Ruby or Sapphire is fine in your case I'm sure.

As for any sort of DBZ editors..well I don't know and I don't think there are any.

I tried doing a graphics hack of SNES DBZ games but the gfx are scattered but are grouped with each other. It's hard to tell who's who if you don't have the correct palette for the character. It's like telling the difference between Goku's pants to Piccolo's.

Most tile editors support loading palettes from savestates, make a savestate in-game when the character you want is on screen and load it in the editor, then you can scroll through all the palettes in that state.

Hmmm....im hacking pokemon emerald atm..but it says the rom is corrupt lol...anyone got an link/direct to a working pokemon emerald U/E rom please?
ive just finished littleroot or now called sparten village

and, does anyone have any tools so i can change pokedex, text and beginning of game (the title screen and where birch comes up and says stuff) thanx a lot

Don't ask for roms on the forums.


I would not hack emerald if I were you, I would use Ruby/Sapphire they are more conpatable.

Hmm...how come they are more compatable? its hacking pretty well i think...i havnt had any problems yet..sry for asking bout the rom...do u have any of the tools i need?
