Well, I won't have to take summer school, but I would like to get better than a C in math. It's the only class I can't ace, and it drives me crazy. Right now I'm at a B- and... I really don't see how it's not going to drop with the final.

Ouch. I hope your parents don't go all crazy on you and go "YOUR GRADES ARE TOO LOW! NO INTERNET ALL SUMMER! HIT THE BOOKS YOUNG MISS!"

Cause that's what my mother would do.

Nah, as long as I don't get a D or lower, which I know I won't. And considering math is my only class that isn't an A, they can stuff it. Pre-calculus is hard for a non-math person. >8(

Pre-calculus was miserable for me. It wasn't hard, I just... hated it. Teacher I didn't like, homework I didn't enjoy, yeah... Just not much fun.

Calculus was a lot more bearable. If nothing else, the teacher didn't need our homework to be that neat.

I'm not taking calculus, thankfully, so I just have to get through this final and I'll be done with math. My school doesn't offer regular calculus, it's AP or nothing.

So.

You all can imagine what I chose.

I'm pretty sure calculus is intrinsicly AP. It's a college course, may as well try for college credit. Not like a bunch of other courses which regularly occur in high school.

Of course, there are still two different kinds of calculus, so... yeah. AB and BC... I took BC, the harder one.

Well then you're obviously a math person.

I am not.

Look on the bright side. You probably won't need calc for a long while. I mean, I don't know it, and I'm going into DigiPen

Math is more fun than English. I hate English classes with a passion, although I tend to do pretty well in them... Also have to take way too many of them in high school. Hey, there's no shame in not being a math person. The fact that you do that well in all of your other courses is something I didn't quite do.

(Largely because of laziness, but that's beside the point.)

I rock at English. I enjoy reading, and though I don't enjoy writing, I've been told that I'm good at it. I have excellent grammar and spelling (if you get examples of anything contradicting what I just said, shove it-- this is a message board), so English really presents no challenges.

Math... just... doesn't click. I was really good up until Trig, from there it just went... kapoot.

I don't like english class...i hate analysis and reverse engineering what the author meant to say...

math comes easy to me, manipulating numbers and all those fun stuff. i haven't found much of a need of high level math in a majority of majors except engineering, math itself, and physics.

You did Trig before Precalc?

That's... Unusual.

...Is it?

The order here is Algebra, Geometry, Trig, pre-calc, calc.

Some trig is done in precalculus, some is in algebra 2. She's probably referring to the simpler things (i.e not the stuff that beats you up in precal) with her comment.

not for me..I had the same thing, 1 semester of trig, then 1 semester of pre-calc. although, pre-calc was more of a review of all the math I learned to date

Actually, now that I remember it, the one I took was supposedly a combination of algebra 2 and trig. Hard to recall, was 4 years ago, but... yeah.

I took Geometry, then Algebra 2, then Calculus. According to my school's course guide thing, Calculus goes into... more Calculus.
