So, I'm trying to get two floppy drives to go in my computer, since I have 3 right now. However, none of them seem to work together. One of the drives has a jumper set that lets me choose between "IF", "H2", "DS0", and "DS1"; one of the drives has only a switch to select between "0" and "1", and on eof the drives has nothing at all, just "I/F" next to the floppy cable port.

My question is, does anyone have any suggestions for getting any two of these drives working? they all work fine alone, but together, they either don't work at all, only one of them works, or they both somehow become drive A:\, and not A:\ and B:\ like they should.

Well, first of all, it wouldn't be a matter of jumpers on the drives, but which plug on the floppy cable you connected them to. There should be one place where there's a little section of the cable that's like, "twisted" around. Everything after that point would be floppy 0 (A: ) and everything before would be floppy 1 (B: ), I think.

Second... BIOS settings. There should be somewhere in your BIOS setup where you can select the types of the 2 drives.

Well, there shouldn't be anything else to it. Your BIOS would probably complain if you didn't select the right type for the floppy drives.

Hmmm... Maybe it's a bad cable then. I bought a special floppy cable that is all in one round holoder, so it's less messy. Considering it only has two ports and the floppies I tried every which way, and the BIOS was set for two drives, I 'll have to try another cable.

thanks!
