Unpredictable. Watch your backs. Or not. Whichever. I want Metal Gear Solid 4 so badly.

I have LOADS of video game music on my computers... Mainly from OCRemix and VGMix, but I have a decent number of tracks straight from the recent Sonic games... Lots of stuff.

Oh, and a few from the Megaman X games, and a couple Castlevania tracks... Yeah.

Dunno how large the actual folder is... but its probably a little more than... 3 gigs I think...

...

I have a sudden urge to go hunting for more game soundtracks...

Yeah, I kinda listen to VG music a lot. The MIDIs from VGMusic.com just don't do it for me though, they don't have the same feel they do as MP3s or SPCs. Take Ice Cap Zone in the actual game, then the MIDI. It's just...too different

My favorites have to be Castlevania music though...FTW

Heh, that's the same reason why I don't go to VGMusic.com anymore. Galbadia Hotel on the other hand has a bunch of MP3s, emulated music like SPCs, and even MIDIs. I got all 550 songs from Galbadia Hotel and they are all MP3s.

Yup... I prefer .spc's and .gym's over midis though.

I listen to stuff from DKC2 and 3, Final Fight 2 and 3, BattleCars, Castlevania Dracula X, Pocky and Rocky, Streets of Rage, and Sonic the Hedgehog.

I'd say my most favorite VGM would be either 'Hydrocity Act 2' or 'FF3 Prison'.

I have 1707 tracks in my playlist. Exactly 1706 of them are from video games. Approximately 1600 of those tracks are pure chiptunage.

I really, truly, thorougly, and comprehensively don't get the point of it. At all. Nor will I, ever.

That said, I downloaded the soundtracks to Katamari Damacy and We Love Katamari, as well as the two Advantage albums (post-rock NES cover band). At least there it sounds musical, whereas the proper soundtracks don't work as well without the games.

Occassionally NSFs, I used to listen to SPCs a lot but there's no decent player for them that works on OpenBSD (when I still used Linux, PlaySPC_GTK was okay, but far from decent).

I like the video game music. Its fair music, but not better than any other music. Actually I like the music better than Rap, country music.

Well, here's all the videogame-related music folders in the folder on my desktop:

:: OCR00001 to OCR00500
:: OCR00501 to OCR01000
:: OCR01001 to OCR01250
:: Metroid Metal
:: The Black Mages
:: Cave Story
:: Chrono Symphonic
:: Dance Dance Revolution with Mario (it should actually be "Mario Mix" instead of "with Mario", but I haven't bothered to change it yet )
:: Gitaroo Man
:: Halo 2
:: Hedgehog Heaven
:: Kirby - Rise of the Star
:: Kong in Concert
:: Mario and Zelda - Big Band
:: Project Majestic Mix - Squaredance
:: Relics of the Chozo
:: Super Mario World Remix
:: Tales of Destiny
:: Tales of Destiny 2
:: Tales of Symphonia
:: The American Album
:: The Dark Side of Phobos

Those folders alone take up more than 9GB, at exactly 2140 files, 76 folders I've got more on my external hard drive, but they're just songs I didn't listen to that often, but that I didn't want to completely delete Most of them either came from OCRemix or Galbadia Hotel, but there still are a couple (Cave Story, DDR Mario Mix, and the Super Mario World Remix) that I just found at random, and decided to download.

I really should look into actual game format music, as it'd be a big space saver (the Music folder is one of, if not the biggest folder on this computer).

So yes, I do listen to videogame music

Most here do. I need to expand my collection but I mainly specialize in NES/SNES stuff. A few odds and ends, of course, along with OC Remixes and some soundtrack CD's I... obtained.

Yeah, I listen to videogame music too. I have songs from ocremix and vgmix and quite a few NSFs, SPCs, GSFs and such things.

I canīt check how big my collection is because Iīm not at my own computer at the moment.

Edit: Oh, and bluelaguna.net is a great source for vgmusic too.

I have a whole collection of it. It's mostly direct from the game itself, as I don't like OC Mix or any of that shit. Ones I have include...

Pokemon Stadium
DKC1-3
Contra games
Diddy Kong Racing
Most FF games
Earthbound (this plus the Winamp color trick = hours of drug-simulating entertainment)
Earthworm Jim
Mario Games
Sonic Games
Mega Man X Games
And so on...

Yes. Always.

My collection got nuked when my old computer died about a year ago, but I've been working on it, and I'm up to (at least) 500 midi and mp3 files. I doubt I'll ever have a collection of several thousand, because I don't download songs that I dislike, and video game music is not all wonderful.

FFIX, I'm looking at you.

Right now I'm listening to a playlist containing some tracks from smb3, sonic 3d blast, and dkc2.

Because I'm sure everyone cares what I listen to.
