Often, yes. This is the wrong forum probably (seems more suited to either Entertainment/TV/Music or GenGame), but meh.

I usually listen to stuff from DKC2 when I do listen to music, though there's a few tracks from other games that pop in periodically.

Edit: It has occurred to me that the forum no longer contains "Music" in its name...

Quite a lot actually, Nobuo Uematsu, Yasunori Mitsuda, Motoi Sakuraba and that kind of stuff. Also pretty much any track I really like from any game.

Pretty much all of the music on my computer is videogame music. I have about 10 soundtracks, plus I frequent OC ReMix to hear new spins on old songs.

That's not the only type of music I listen to, but it is my favorite type of music.

Yes, it's a great way to relive old gaming experiences. But I only have MIDI's due to bandwidth constraints, but that's ok since most "retro-game" soundtracks sound pretty much decent in MIDI format.

Most of the things on my playlist come from videogames

Hidenori Shoji makes badass music.

Uh...duh? I would venture to bet a large portion of people here do.

Heck, a good portion of the sims (look at the DDR thread in General Gaming) are based on vid games. I'm pretty sure that half my music on my drive, also counting the various formats like NSF, SPC, etc., are of that genre and I'm sure that I have a couple dozen gigs or more of them.

By the by, NITIN: You might want to look up NSF and SPC formats and related ones instead of relying on MIDIs. I used to have a ton of MIDIs for that until I found those formats several years ago. I still HAVE MIDIs on my drive, yes, but the actual formats for the game consoles work a heck of a lot better. Most of them can run under Winamp and their filesize is actually quite small. In fact, if you were to take the whole SMB NSF versus the probable set for MIDI, you're going to actually have LESS SPACE taken up by an NSF than the MIDI set.

I'm usually listen to video game music almost all the time. My VG Playlist has almost 550 songs and is still growing. Most of the songs are from the games I play from SNES all the way to the DS and Gamecube.

~815 for me. Technically, it's 823, but my brother wanted Bak et Halleluja and some other strange ones...

I don't use playlists...I know that if I did I would have over tens of thousands of items to put into it under this genre.

Yea, it's that bad.

I don't usually listen to videogame music unless I'm playing the game, although I did manage to sucessfully rip a few tracks from Ratchet and Clank (not very good quality mind), And I'll listen to anything mixed/composed by Dr. Fruitcake... And that old zelda music is pretty cool...

I don't really listen to video game music. I have a few songs from games I liked but that's about it. Most of the time I just listen to the radio when I want to listen to music.
