Hopefully I'm not OT, I'm new here.
I've got a couple questions about Hyrule Magic. I'm using it to attempt to make a few changes to Zelda 3 and buff up the difficulty, but I'm running into a couple problems: 1) Is there any way to get around the bit with having to remove sprites in order to add new ones in? The total number is capped, so I've gotta remove some in order to add in others. I don't particularly want to mess around with Hex, so I'm wondering if there's any fairly simple way to increase the total number of sprites allowed within the game. 2) Putting some enemies in areas where they don't usually occur produces odd graphical errors within the enemies themselves. Thoughts on this? Thanks. |

1) No, there is no easy way to increase the cap. There would be significant work involved.
2) You need to look at the enemy tilesets at the top beside the room pallets and tilesets. Its called enemy gfx or soemthing. That denotes what enemies will look normal in that room, and can easily be changed. Refer to the Hyrule Magic guide for what enemies use what gfx #, or just use an original rom for reference. |
