| I suggested to my IRL friends that Michael would be an other when he came back, and none of them believed me.
But that's true, he could be doing these things to free Walt, though... the Others are "peaceful" people, why would they demand that he kill? |

| They may have wanted to punish Anna for killing one of them. Also, I don't think Michael's been converted to an other, I think he's doing it all for Walt's sake. Also, isn't the bearded other actually not bearded and just uses that fake beard that was found in the medical hatch where Claire was being held. | |||

| Yeah, I wouldn't go so far to say they're peaceful. They think they're doing the right thing, but taking a woman away, keeping her drugged up, and then planning on forcibly removing her baby by c-section and leaving her to fend for herself afterwards is not peaceful. No matter how dire the situation is there's really no justifiable reason to keep Claire away from her baby. Also, they do use pretty ruthless tactics in taking people and using people to get what they want. | |||

Off-topic to the current conversation, but the season is over in two weeks 
Then we wait until Spetember for season 3, and October for the extended season 2 DVD set. The Others are not peaceful, it's not possible. Remember at "the line"... Mr. Happy/Zeke/Bearded Guy: "You cross this line, we go from misunderstanding, to... something else" Doesn't that sound peaceful... |

Ana Lucia killed Shannon. Rousseau has done some stupid stuff. The original survivors have done some stuff as well. Etc... The Others are equally guilty. They haven't killed. That we know of. But they have tried. And that is enough to make them 'dangerous' |

They shot Sawyer? I could have sworn that was Ana Lucia, when they were thrown into the pit. 
But even then, they didn't kill him. A shot to the shoulder won't kill you, it's one of the safest places to shoot someone. But I forgot about Charlie being hung like that... I guess that's strike one. I really don't think the self defense argument works, because in a way, that's what they're doing too. The children thing, okay that's wrong, but they aren't killing the kids. In their eyes, we've killed multiple others, and they haven't killed any. But I'm sure I'm overlooking something. 
Then there's the whole argument that it's all an experiment, which... changes everything. |

Whoopedoo. They still shot him. It's basically this... They started the whole mess of things. They kidnapped Claire. They tried to take Aaron. They tried to kill Charlie.They kidnapped Walt. They shot Sawyer. They destroyed the raft. They did it all. They have more than one strike against them. Even if they have not killed anyone yet, that still doesn't mean that the things they have done is not equal or greater to what the survivors have done. I really could care less concerning any theories about the Others. Still doesn't take off the fact that they are people with a few screws missing. I don't buy into the whole Others and "self-defense" |

| Yeah, the people that crashed in the plane didn't go out and start attacking the others. The bearded dude said that they didn't like how the crash victims were hunting their food and taking their fruit, but hey, just cause you got trapped on the island first doesn't mean that you can keep all the resources to yourself and kill everyone else.
Interesting idea and I'm begining to believe it more and more is that the island is purgatory. It makes sense because almost everyone on the island had a bad past (Still haven't figured out what Jack and Locke did, but I'm sure that'll pop up eventually). If you look at what's going on they're all being tested. And when they pass their tests they get out (either by death or being taken by the others). The others said that they take the good people, and the people that they took right after the crash were children and "good" adults. If you look at most of the people that die it's after they've changed. Shanon went out looking for Walt which showed she cared about someone else more than herself. Anna died after she couldn't kill Henry. Haven't figured out why Libby died and Boon just seemed to have died after a little bit of time (which makes sense because he didn't seem to do anything that bad and just had to spend some time there). That would make the Others the testers of the people, they present a situation that forces the true character of the person to be exp Question: How many of you watch LOST by getting it from iTunes? |

| Next week is the finale... I'm almost dreading it. Because we all know that the finales do nothing but beat our brains out for a few months until the show comes back.
There are so many theories, I try not to think about it much. We really don't know the answer yet, I'm just gonna let the show remain a mystery the way it should be. But the previews for next week say that "all our questions will be answered..." |

| Damn, I'm counting the minutes until the finale, and after, I'm gonna be dreading it's over Season 2 DVD won't be out until late September or Early October...
No Lost for 3 or 4 months Unless I want to watch Season 1 again
Next season will be run with only one big break in the middle! |

Ouch, that's gonna suck, I would die if I missed it, only Americans can watch it online although I could always download it, but the last time I downloaded it, it was out of sync. You hear the gun fire, then Michael pulls the trigger
