What should I do?
I need to know which is the best game base and the best tools.
I am a Final Fantasy Fanboy, so my games will be like Final Fantasy.
I will must to change many things in the original game.
I'll add in my games some of the things below:
*Limit breaks (It isn't present in SNES games)
*Tech Points
*Ability Points
*Job System
*Materia System
*Esper System
*And other things of same kind

Can you help me?

FF5 Base. It already has a job system you can mod.

I can help by suggesting that you don't go for this task unless:

A) You know ASM like Pamela knows STDs.
or
B) You got a mob of ASM hackers backing you up on this.

Other than that... umm... cooler summons?

Assuming you're not familiar with advanced ROM hacking, I'd say to start small and not have so many goals. FF1 is the most documented NES Final Fantasy there is, and there is a bunch of stuff on FF3 for the SNES by Master Zed.

I agree with NightKev in that FF5 would support most of your wants easily, but It's hard to hack it since there are few, if any, documents and tools, to my knowledge.

Sorry, Goku, but I don't think it will work out like you planned .

He wants a job system. Only 2003 would have something like that, but it doesn't support systems that he wants unless he does a whole lot of common events.

Either doing it that way or in rom hacking, its a hell of a lot of work.

And if there are no limits in SNES games, don't count on seeing them anytime soon unless you add in a lot of ASM coding... and for RPGs, there is very little free space depending on the game.

That is a good point. Theres a translated RPGmaker for SNES. If you wanna build a game that is your best bet. Plus it will probably feel more original than if you modded FF games. No matter how much you change the storyline or maps you will still be able to tell it's a FF game previously.

Hmm, what are limit breaks exactly? Are they attacks that occure after a certain point in battle? FF3 has desperations attacks, so it might be possible.

I'm guessing he meant limit breaks like from final fantasy 7; basically everytime you get hit, a bar goes up, when it's maxed out, you can do a SUPERCOOL move, which does a good chunk of damage.
