| The bipedal cat-man kicked a tree on which some murkrow were perched on. No one in the town seems to notice him, not even those who had just given him beating earlier.
???: What am I going to do now? It was then he saw a strange looking object lying in some tall weeds. He noticed there was a distraught person, crawling about on the floor. | Oni found himself cut off from Kirby, suddenly knocked back by the force of a grazing blow. A thin white beam a few inches in diameter, with a second, smaller blue beam spiraling around it, flashed by his face in an instant, it's speed displacing a sudden gust of air into him.
A short distance away, Mel stood by the town square. A smoking Gauss Machine Gun was in his right hand, a tankard of brew in his left. Behind him, Smithy stood by a table labeled "Free Beer," waterfalling an entire pitcher. Mel squinted his eyes at Vivian, Kirby, and Oni, his gun wobbling slightly. His thumb flicked over the fire setting, and he immediately opened up, a flurry of white-and-blue beams passing by dangerously close to the three, one-by-one in rapid succession. MEL: *hic* I... dude. I totally cannot see what the fuck I'm shooting at, haha. SMITHY: Haha! Niice. |

| Kirby took Melvin's distraction as an opportunity to strike at Oni. He tucked away several sheets of paper into his jacket and proceeded to clap his hands. In the blink of an eye, the "treasure hunter's" hands were surrounded by a white aura.
Holding his hands infront of him, Kirby pointed his palms at Oni and Vivian, and shot a thick beam of energy from each arm. Vivian held out her katana, attempting to reflect the attack. Unfortunately for the scarlet scarfed kunoichi, the force that struck was so strong that it knocked the blade out of her hands, which caused her to flail her hands from both shock and pain. Vivian: Etai ta ta ta... < I didn't hold it right.. > |

| Oni's eyes brightened up only for a moment as he noticed Melvin and Smithy's presence.
Oni: Of all the people to be able to see me.. The cat-man turned his attention back to Kirby, only to get blasted by a beam of light. His arms instinctively flew up to block the attack, but nothing was happening. Oni was not feeling any pain. Oni: Is that the best you could do? Hahaha! I knew I was right about it! A toothy grin ran across Oni's face as he felt a dark power surrounding him. He held up his left hand by his face and stretched out his right arm forward. A dark, visible aura appeared at the feline "treasure hunter's" feet, which looked like dark flames dancing around his body. The surrounding area grew dark, darker than it already was. Glowing eyes started to appear in the enhanced shadows, with low growls accompanying them. Oni clenched his right hand, causing the glowing eyes to move into action. Shadowy, cat-like figures leapt out from the darkness, quickly slashing away at Kirby, and running off as fast as their attack was. The lighting in the area had returned to normal after the attack was done with. |

| The attack, which pretty much came out from no where, caught Kirby off gaurd. Who would suspect such a large amount of cats to attack in a village where there were no cats?
As much as the grass was cut away, Oni's attack did nothing to Kirby. Meanwhile, Vivian stood in disbelief after picking up her katana. Vivian: Nani? (edited by Kirbynite on 12-15-06 10:46 PM) |
