For the steal...

Take the volume of the jar, and the volume of one penny. See how many times the volume of one penny will go into the volume of the jar. The number is your answer

Bonus 3:
Find the weight of one of the pennies.
Pour out the pennies for a second, and find the weight of the jar.
Put the pennies back in the jar, and find the weight of the whole system.
Subtract the weight of the jar.
Divide by the weight of the single penny, fo find the number of pennies.
