An old Roman coliseum with weather wear and tear; plus wear and tear from it being used so much long ago. As seats were broken and the main area littered with debris from the high edging cracking and falling to the ground. Xanaphia happened to come across it and was currently training in the middle of the coliseum. Never once taking off her black trench coat while doing several maneuvers: Such as backflips, frontflips, sideflips, round-house kicks, fast jabs, right hooks, left hooks, and anything in between.

Xanaphia's training was interrupted by a break in the silence of the area, as she heard a very loud SLUUUUUUUUUUUUUURP coming from one of the few seating areas which was not completely broken. Sitting there was a girl who couldn't have been more than 17, eating some popcorn and having just finished a jumbo-sized cup of some sort of pop. Obviously very much a tomboy, her mannerisms and rather casual style of dress only thinly masked a beautiful young girl, with long wavy hair such a dark purple most thought it black, left flowing around her head. She wore the odd combination of a simple green fighter's gi beneath magenta wizard's robes, which were bunched up as she sat back in the old stone seat. Seeing that she'd been noticed, the girl flashed Xanaphia a big toothy smile and a peace sign with the hand which had been holding her drink.

"..." A Navi wearing a brown cloak stood on top of one of the remaining tall pillars of this old Roman coliseum. He glared down towards Xanaphia, and then the girl snacking on popcorn and what looked like a jumbo-sized soda.

"Why does that girl remind me of David for many of unknown reasons..." he muttered under his breath.

* * *

David had just grabbed his lunch -- five extra-large pizzas, four boxes of popcorn, a turducken, and a glass of water -- when he tripped, launching his lunch (more like a small buffet) into the air, which all landed onto a nearby table without anything being ruined, not even the glass of water shattering from the force of impact. Everyone in Maverick Hunter Mess Hall all sweatdropped, before they returned to normal conversations.

"Watch yourself, David," Zero said with a hearty chuckle.

"Shut up, I just tripped is all...."

"That or someone is talking behind your back," he said with a grin, "I don’t know who eats more, you or Netto..."

"Shut up Zero." He got up and walked over to his lunch, and Zero only snatched a bottle of beer and sat down next to him, snatching himself some pizza.

"Speaking of which, where did you think Forte went off to?"

"I don't know. The last time anyone saw him, one of the rookies in your class saw him use the teleporter in Maverick Hunter Area 2."

"Hmm... must be some sort of battle going on. That, or Forte just wants to cause trouble, which I hope he doesn't."

"But what about you when Axl played that prank of cosplaying you wearing a wedding dress? You played a prank on Forte when you found out he was involved in the prank." He scooted away when Zero threw the beet bottle with deadly accuracy, smashing into one of the garbage pails at the far end of the room.

To his blurred senses, the already hazy cloud of dust surrounding the average-looking fifteen year old boy was distorted beyond comprehension. The senseless fool, a mess of unkempt hair and obtrusive, smudgy glasses, staggered around without knowing why he had been teleported - but it was of little consequence anyway. Lately his life had been nothing but a series of blackouts and foggy memories, like a dream that he couldn't quite remember, and just when he'd get a sense of things he'd be somewhere else and all confused again.

Still, if it was because of
its will that he be sent here, then he knew that there would be trouble for innocent people. But what people? He tried to remember people, and what exactly they were in danger of... but he felt himself slipping further into his dream state and he couldn't concentrate. Oh well...

His aimless wandering came to a painful stop at the base of a thick stone wall. He could hardly make it out, but it looked like a coliseum. Something at the back of his consciousness told him to get away, and fast, but he questioned why, and then wondered how he had come to get here in the first place. He must have been teleported...

Such was the tortured brain activity of young Cheese as he stumbled through an open arch and collapsed in between a row of seats, completely hidden from sight. This time he knew he was losing his connection to reality, and he wouldn't wake up again until
it had been fed and made even stronger. Clutching his head and moaning softly, Cheese tried to remember what he meant to stop as he lay confusedly and passed out on the stone floor.

A minute later, a peculiar armor-clad youth could be seen whizzing around the stands for a second, before he found a place to conceal himself and observe the events down below.

OoC: Needs less awkwardness.

A figured ran from the trap doors, more like holes in the bottom of the wall, and leaped up into the air. Xanaphia just happened to be doing a back flip and was at the end of it when the figure landed on the bottom, although they would be facing up, of her feet. He leaped up at the navi and slashed forward with a long one handed sword. The man was just in what looks like just common travelers gear, a second-hand cloak with visible holes and a faded color, sturdy shoes, and some sort of cloth covering his lower face.

The guy running out from one of the old trap doors startled Xana when she landed on her feet in a crouching position from a prior backflip. Not to mention the girl that was eating popcorn in the seating area annoyed her for making that loud slurping noise. To say the least she was not expecting random people to show up in this place. Well looks like the old coliseum will be put to use once again.

"This looks to be amusing unless too many people show up. Then it will get bland," she said while counting to see how many people where there already. Three but she swore the glimpse of Cheese that made it four. She shrugged it off and stood there to see if anyone of them wanted to make the first move against her.

"...!" Forte quickly dodged the attack, floating down fast. He clentched his hand into a fist, except his index and middle fingers remained extended, as he spun around in -mid-air, and fired Schwa's trademark attack, "Alpha Psibeam!"

He sliced the air in front, releasing a silver arc of etheral energy towards the man wielding the one-handed long sword. It homes in because it is locked on directly to the target's soul for a sure it. The damage is above-average, double Holy/Psychic element.

Afterwards (miss/hit) Forte lands on the ground near Jack but quickly leaps back into the air and remains floating in mid-air.

Man: "Heh..."

The man imitated Forte's moves exactly, sending his own Alpha Psibeam. The man moved at the same time Forte did in a likewise manner. The two beams colided and cancled each other out and as the man began to float, he suddenly moved at Xana, half floating in the air. He stopped in front of Xana, a half smirk on his face.

Hector: "The names Hector..."

Hector suddenly dropped to the ground and arc'd his sword over his back, bringing it down towards Xana with average force.

Hector: "...which I'm sure you've heard of!"

The sword never connected, and Xana didn't even have to do anything, as Hector found himself kicked in the head and knocked to the side by a blurry green and magenta figure, who finished up the move smoothly as she flipped and landed several yards away, again grinning and flashing a quick peace sign before settling into a fighting stance facing Hector and Xana, fists at the ready.

???: Going for a power stroke already? You've got no class. Battles are all about finesse and style, after all, most of the time.

The girl, who had leapt from her seat earlier to face Xana, only to find someone else in her way, had decided a bit of fun was in order, and this seemed as good a way as any to do it. The other warriors could really see that "girl" was indeed the appropriate term, as the already battle-hardened warrior still retained her youthful appearance. It was all in the genes, she had always suspected, as both of her parents seemed relatively ageless. She smiled at the two, at least one of whom would likely attack her soon.

???: Name's Aether. Time to have some fun, don't you think?

Xana didn't seem too enthused with Hector and was about to kick him in the side. Except didn't have to move before he was brought down by the girl from the seats. She stood in a fighting stance with her right arm out in front of the other with clenched fists (like a boxing stance). Her blue-grey orbs looked between the girl whom identified herself as Aether and Hector.

"No, unfortunately, I haven't heard of you Hector. Name's Xanaphia or Xana."

She then charged at Aether with her left arm brought back and ready to strike with it.

Into the midst of the quickly started battle zoomed a glassy blue dodecahedron, rocketing from the stands and exploding on impact with the ground in the precise center of all of the fighters. Shrapnel sprayed long distances in every direction, and anyone standing close enough to the bomb would be engulfed in a cyber-damage dealing explosion.

Shortly after, the neon-armored warrior floated into the arena and held a rod loosely at his side.

Pie >> "Affirmative; these fighters possess desirable skill. Continue the battle - I'll accompany you users. Call me Pie, if you wish."

Just as eager to participate (although not showing it), Pie prepared himself. As he bobbed slowly up and down, twirling his rod, the ground and walls of the coliseum flashed with the pattern of a wire frame grid for just a moment, and then vanished. With his own program now in place to alter the laws of physics, he'd have a chance to keep up with the rest of the group.

Hector: "You wish."

As soon as the shrapnel started, Hector began his counter. A dome mirrior appeared around the shrapnel and shrapnel exploded from the dome, cancling out all the shrapnel.

Hector: "How can you not have heard of Hector, The Treasure Hunter!?"

Hector seemed sincere about the lack of his popularity. Hector moved at Pie this time, but he held his blade at an angle. In his blade both himself and Pie were in it, but he was coming from the opposite direction in his blade. He ran at Pie and slashed, but the image in his sword seemed to become reality as Hector's slash came from the opposite direction.

Aether prepared herself to intercept a hit from Xana, when, as seemed to be par for the course already in this battle, she was interrupted, this time by an object rocketing into the melee that had been about to start. The girl braced herself for the impact of an explosion that never came. Seeing the dome mirror, she decided she'd have to thank Hector later, but changed her mind, thinking sooner would be better.

With that in mind, she dove at Xana, executing a sweepkick on the warrior who seemed a bit stunned by what had just happened, twirling around again to hit her with a hammerblow, hoping to knock her in the direction of Hector and Pie. Confusion, Aether thought, was always a blast to sow into a battle.

Pie lifted his rod in both hands defensively toward Hector's blade, but his sensors reeled at the last second as he detecting a force coming at him from the opposite end. He spun in midair to block this phantom blow, but not fast enough, and was knocked closer toward the treasure hunter, his helmet spitting hot sparks from where he'd been struck. Clever trick, but he wouldn't let it fool him again.

Pie >> "Hector the Treasure Hunter. My banks contain no information about you. You are an interesting character, though, quite like the mirror in many ways."

Pie wasn't idle while he spoke. He spun his rod hazardously around his hand as he swung it at Hector, while the weapon emitted a dangerous electric aura that reached several extra feet. What's more, his fast motion was pulling Hector into the attack like a magnet...

Despite the other two battling, Xana was not going to let it distract her from her own. As Aether went for a hammerblow, she managed to move out of the way. Then retaliated with a spin kick. The confusion from Pie almost cost her to get hit twice already and she would get him back for it. Just not at this present moment. First she'd have to deal with this preteen or unless someone else jumped in to fight her.

Hector: "What, you don't know me either!?"

Hector copied the effect of Pie's electrical aura, but he was pulled in by the magnetic force and as he slashed at Pie, he was too slow. Pie hit and Hector looked like he'd just been electricuted. Hector moved away as fast as he could, an arc of lightning bouncing from his sword to the ground. Hector held his sword in front of him, the blade between his eyes.

Hector: "Let's just see how good those censors are."

Mirriors appeared all around Hector and Pie. Hector ran at Pie as was reflected by every mirrior, but every image was different, Hector was coming at a different way. Which way was Hector coming from though?

Hector had planned this little trick a while ago, they were all fake. Hector was going to attack straight forward with a feint from every mirrior.

((Yes, I know it's a lot of text for not much action...but I started writing in a certain style and had fun with it))

Aether would have wondered how an opponent tripped up by a sweep kick could dodge her next attack, and she would have laughed at Hector's lack of name recognition in the minds of the fighters...and had she possessed psychic powers, she would have been offended at being thought of as a pre-teen.

She did not have time to consider these matters, however, as Xana seemed intent on continuing the whirling machinations their fight had taken on, with her own spin kick. Fortunately, Aether didn't have to do much to react, already having been rather low to the ground in order to hit what she had assumed would be a stunned opponent. It took, then, only a bit of work to lay flat as Xana spun above her.

It was time for someone's hit to actually connect, Aether would have said to herself had she had time to narrate the fight's course. Instead, she put that thought into action, as she sprung from her prone position to elbow her opponent in the back just as the latter, in mid-spin, had turned away from her.

OOC: Been a little busy...

"Hmph... I'm assaulted. You guys forgot about the Class S Maverick Hunter here. Well no more. EarthBreaker!" His right palm was glowing, as he flew down in a dive-bomb move. If they didn't scatter away, they will suffer moderate damage in an earth-shattering move (hence the name, plus leave a huge crater in the ground).

Up in the remaining seats of the roman arena, Spider showed up, and took a seat. "Hmm, a battle royale. This would be fun to watch," Spider said with a smirk, slurping on a mid-size soda.

From the entrance of the arena, Zee watched the many fighters causing so much destruction. 'Man... reminds me of those times when Saiyuri got loose...' he thought, as he watched the trickle of blood that had come out of his arm. The metallic nanocells began to cover its lenght, going farther and farther down, until they had formed a metallic sword from his arm.

"Guess I'm going to join in..." he muttered, before walking farther inside.

Pie's visor blinked over his unreadable expression, trying to determine which of the running warriors surrounding him was the true Hector. But there wouldn't be enough time... Pie decided to play it safe. A portion of the blue grid lit up on the ground again with eight squares surrounding him, and a second later all of them (except for the center one, which he stood on) fired energy beams straight up! Pie hoped the Hector, wherever he was, would crash into this wall of energy and only hurt himself. It wouldn't deal very much damage, however it would blast him pretty high in the air. Also, anyone else standing too close to Pie at the moment the grid activated would obviously be hurt as well.

When the beams stopped firing and the grid disappeared once more, Pie prepared to continue his assault, but was faced with the dive-bombing Maverick Hunter. Pie glided away from the center of the arena, still facing his opponents, and was just brushed by the ensuing explosion. Tossed lightly into the air, he was then able to avoid the earth tremors that spread through the coliseum.
