Mine is my great-grandmother, 82 years old. Pretty healthy too, for her age.

If you asked this a few months ago, I would have said my great aunt, who was nearly 100 years old. I think she died at 92... that was just a few months ago.

Now, it would be my grandma; my only living grandparent I have left. She's 83, and she's really not doing too well at the moment.

My great grandma is 93, but I have not seen her since I was a little girl. I think she is actualy doing much better than my grandma grandma which is sort of sad .-.

It's not surprising that women relatives live to be older than men relatives. And with all those diseases running amok...

Just curious, Dani, but what did your great aunt die of? Was it a chronic disease? Or simply because of old age?

It was just old age. Her head was still there, she was still completely coherent and could carry on conversations like she were 20, just her organs stopped functioning. =\

The Dining chair in my kitchen is probably the oldest thing in my apartment.

Though it's not living, but I live alone in my apartment... though when i'm at "home", it's my dad who is the oldest. He's 52 I think.

My great grandma was 96 when she died.. like a couple of months agoish. There were pictures of her all over the funeral home.. she lived through SO MUCH. The Great Depression.. both world wars.. she remembered pearl harbor.. the cuban missile crisis. But you saw these pictures of her family of like 18 kids from the great depression all in ratty holey clothing in every picture with like toys made of pillowcases.. or just their house was like a little tin shack.. with 18 kids in it. Now that's CRAZY.

My other great grandmother lived until she was 80something.. she escaped from the Warsaw ghetto in Poland during WW2... through the SEWERS. I'm not even kidding. That's another crazy family story.

Now.. I'd say the oldest people in my family are 70something.. my great uncle johnny or mary.. I'm not sure how old they are exactly. I know my grandparents on my dads side are in their 70s.. my grandpa just got a hip replaced. Irrelevant.. but yeah they're all 70something the oldest people in my family now.

My Grandpa is 93. He's still very healthy, I have no doubt he'll see 100. He's been a vegetarian most of his life, that may have something to do with it.

My nanna on my dad's side of the family, I think. I'm pretty sure she's older than my nanna on my Mum's side. They're both in their 70's, but I'm pretty sure that Nanna on Dad's side is older.

I would have to ask Mum to be sure. I think Mum has some "aunties" that aren't really related that are older.

My great-grandmother is 110, but... she passed away last week. Aunt Caroline went over to her home in Ex Line, which is a few minutes drive from Centerville, Iowa. She just slept away to death...

So, my oldest living relative is my grandma, who's 74.

Great gran 86. But if you saw her you would think that he was 60. Barely any wrinkles. Wow. I think she will most likely live at least 10 years. She seems very very healthy.

I think it would have to be my grandfather on my mother's side. He's 82/83, something around there.

The oldest that has once lived, that I know of, would be my great grandmother, again on my mothers side. She lived to be at least 93, I think.

You guys...

My grandmother and grandfather on my mother's side are both dead, but my grandfather and grandmother on my father's side are both alive and well at 83 and 84, respectively. I rather expect grandma to live to at least 100
