I'm making a hack of The Legend of Zelda and while I was changing a few graphics, I ran into 3 problems.

If you haven't noticed yet, I'm changing Link to pols voice. If you look in that first picture, you see that there's an annoying green line across pols head and two little green dots above his head which I can't find to change it.

In this picture, you see that when Link finds an item he lifts it up above his head. I haven't been able to find this graphic anywhere to change it either.

All I'm asking is for help to find these problems so I can fix them in tile layer pro or any other method you have so I can change them.

Okay, the dots look like you simply forgot to shift Link's graphic up a pixel (+ or - in most tile editors) before editing. I remember that other animation from when I was doing a Zelda hack, it's near to the start of the ROM, isolated from the rest of Link's tiles.

Well, I have to tell you I'm not very knowledgable on tile layer pro. I know how to change graphics but I'm not sure exactly what you mean when you say I forgot to shift his graphic up by a pixel. Would this include being a fix for both the dots and the green line across his head?

I still haven't found that one graphic for Link where he's obtained an item. So I know the EXACT area of where it is, is it near where the title and the paper that says get the instruction book for details is?

Sorry for the trouble and thanks for the help.

First of all, I highly suggest you use YY-CHR instead, you can view Link's tiles properly using its FC/NES x16 alignment mode:

As I said, you need to hit - to shift Link down a pixel, then it's aligned properly, that's what your green line and dots are, a piece of Link that you didn't replace, I'm assuming anyway.

As for the other graphic:

Again, hit - a couple times to align it properly.

Thanks a lot Dragonsbrethren. All the graphics are now fixed and without all those damn green dots and lines. I'm now going to start this hack.

Well, I didn't want word to get out about the hack, but it had to in order to get the help to fix that graphic.

Now that anyone knows now, I'm going to be changing levels as well both over and underworld. I don't think I'll change any enemies or items but Link is changed. I'm not sure exactly what it is about Pols Voice, which is the enemy I took from the game and made Link, but I just like him. I'm not going to set any dates of this hacks' completion but I'll be working on it for a good while. At least I know that someone is interested in this hack. Thanks for the support.

EDIT: If anyone has any questions, suggestions or ANY ideas for me, then go ahead and talk to me. If you have any ideas for enemies then tell me that too. I am willing to change some more graphics so the game isn't EXACTLY the same as the original. Thanks to anyone who tries.
