I'm just saying. To say you've got it mastered, you'd need to be like, > 80% with under two hours or so.

I think I'm the first to ask this- where are the lost caverns? i've looked at all the dead ends i can solve, and i think i found the entrance to tourian, but the only maridia entrances have one-way super missile gates.
Also, do the reflectors from the acid room show up anywhere else in this hack? thosse were cool!

I believe lost caverns was infact a hologram program made by Mother Brain. Because looking at the BIG MAP, there is only one little spot for it, but it's not one area big. SO! Lost Caverns is actually a Holodeck.

I kinda meant how do you *get to* the lost caverns. everyone seems to find it with no problem. the only places i could go are filled with water so i can't reach the doors. do i need to trigger an event to open a grey door so i can pass?
EDIT: i had loaded the wrong state. i have the spazer too.

No need to repeat the kudos here about this hack: I think that much is obvious.

I'll try to use as little spoilers as possible here.

I've seen many people mention that they have trouble getting the Grappling Beam. I've gotten it. My problem is getting out of the immediate area.

I'm trapped in a range of 5 rooms: the big pipe room, the massive acid room, the small vertical room right by the big pipe room, the passage way to the grappling beam, and the room that has the beam itself.

The northeast door in the big pipe room is currently locked. Defeating all of the enemies within that room and/or entering all of the pipes doesn't seem to cause the door to unlock. The huge acid room only allows me to get as far as a collectible item: I have to turn back around. Killing the freaky faces in the nearby room doesn't trigger the door. There is a passageway above the grappling beam, but there seems to be a solid blockade, preventing access to the tunnel.

If it matters, I'm using 2.00 Headerless.

To find Lost Caverns:
Spoiler:
Look at your map for a lone horizontal area with 2 rooms the same length and one horizontal passageway. That horizontal passageway is the Lost Caverns. It only has 2 rooms, and once you get past the second, you never come back to either of them.

Getting to the Lost Caverns is confusing when you don't know where you're going, but here's a clue given about 30 or so pages back, but reworded my way:
Spoiler:
If you find a huge underwater room with many Space Pirates, go into the Pink Door on the far left. Use 25 Missiles, 5 Super Missiles, or a combonation of the two to open the door. Inside is a Save Station at the top and "Kung-Fu Pirates" at the bottom. They spin-jump over you and then jump in the air, turn gold, and try to kick you. Beat them by shooting them with Super Missiles (it's the easiest way) when they're gold, then go into the door on the right. The door on the left is a dead end for now. Now, continue until you find a room with more of the Pirates and a Wall-Jump surface nearby. That's near the Lost Caverns.

Yep, that's it. Read only if you want to spoil yourself with the exact path.

1139: grapple across the big acid pit..... thats how.

hint:
Spoiler:
see that grapple block above the platform before the item..... get on top of that.

also they are GRAVITY pirates! not kung-fuu pirates =P

even though they ARE the kung fu ones, but they are in water, and purple.... GRAVITY PIRATES!!!!

Just try not to fall in the acid. Why? Fall in, and you don't come out. Though, if you did find a way out, you'd have lost all health by then.

depends where you fall in, you can easily get back onto platforms so long as you are nearby, just ibj out of the acid while it is at high tide.

Hiyas again. I was wondering if someone could help me figure out how to reach two areas? Ive circled them on my map. But im not sure if the one on the left is a real area. It just seams like it from the area above it to me. I do know the area circled on the right is possible to reach.

WOW! Just finished, with

And I freed the animals

This hack is so awesome, thanks Drew for this reminiscence of the good old Super Metroid days!
The good things:
Physics changes
Equipment hacks
Reflector
Level design
Metroid bombardment
The ship at the end
The animals at the end
Forcing players to conserve their Super Missiles
Forcing players to carefully choose beams rather than slap everything on at once
Things destroying the blocks
Lots of other small details!

The things that could be improved:
Varia is way too hard to find
Odd things like reflectors are totally foreign, need explanation in readme
More rooms with reflectors! There's only one in the whole game? C'mon!(remembers Kuribo's Shoe in SMB3...)
The bug in Riley's room
Most hidden tunnels aren't visible with X-Ray Scope...
Less of those giant sidehoppers that pop out and randomly molest you! Those things take off like a whole energy tank in a hit!

Overall, this is THE BEST hack I have ever played, and I'm disappointed there won't be another. Excellent work with this masterpiece! It's one of those few hacks actually worthy of being password protected...
Thank you

There's actually at least 3 reflectors by my count, and I definitely used them. 2 in Norfair, and the famous one.

Actually I planned on adding more reflectors, however a huge bug with reflectors and shinespark echoes and bombs changed my mind. so I removed them for the sake of not having a glitchy gameplay.

Thanks for the kind words hippiejake! I made the hack for fans like you.

also ridleys stuck glitch was fixed in 2.0

I told you, according to the map you presented, you explored the areas you circled, so I don't see what your problem with getting there is
