Pikaguy, stop asking a million questions please.

have you tried going right instead of left after beating the kung fu pirates? also ever think you need to tackle the guardian hunt and DE-Activate them later on in the game? that gate never opens, its locked for a reason, and if you did the door is grey (in fact in the room data theres only one door, so even if you openned the grey door you'd still hit a solid wall)

...Sorry. I keep asking questions, and I don't know why. Oh, I thought I was told to go left anyways. Oh well. Back to the game... *sigh* (I'm just bored. Ignore the "*sigh*", please.)

Pika, now that you've got High Jump, you can get to that 4th energy tank very easily. Do the following...

's' is the height of your Spring Ball jump, and 'x' is the breakable block. Hold down jump, and start bouncing. When you reach the height of your jump, lay a bomb and keep holding jump down. You'll bounce back up and have the exact timing neccessary to go that little bit higher ('S').

_______S
............s

_______x______

I usually just bomb-jump up there -- there's a large difference in the timing requirements for a double-jump and an infinite. But if you can't get it, this will work.

Oh yeah, thanks. Okay, I have the Gravity Suit and Space Jump. I wish to acquire the Plasma Beam next.

Edit: I edited my post so as to not give away too many spoilers.

Edit: I'm putting this in a spoiler tag:
Spoiler:
If you have the Wall-Jump Boots (Take the blue door below the Spore Spawn (plant boss), fall all the way down, and go to the right), get out of Brinstar, go back to your Ship, save if you want, then go to the right, to a door. The next rooms are hard, so be careful, and when you're outside, take the highest path you can get, run as fast as you can, and jump at the edges of the platforms. Once you reach a Save Station near a room full of acid, save. Go into the acid room, shoot the glowing panel on the nearby wall with a Missile, and continue. See the high tunnels? You can Mid-Air Morph into them. It's easy, so I won't explain it. Anyways, do this to get to the end, and enter the door. Grab Bombs and prepare for the arrival of a big Chozo Statue known as a "Torizo". It attacks you, and you must destroy it. Destroying it allows you to leave the room. Take note of the door that never opened- I haven't reached Tourian, but I have a hunch about what's back there. You might want to return after getting through Tourian. So, with Bombs, go back to Spore Spawn. Afterwards, go to Kraid, on the very far right of your map, in my favorite area- Red Brinstar! Note the Maridia paths- you'll explore them after getting the Gravity Suit much later in the game. So, good luck, and if you see Giant Sidehoppers, leave the room IMMEDIATELY- They kill you in 2 or 3 hits!!! Oh yeah, one exception- The Green Door nearest Spore Spawn has one behind it. Go in there and enter the door below to get Charge Beam- You absolutely NEED it for safe passage through Norfair. Plus, it comes in handy when battling Sidehoppers- One Charge Beam is usually equal in power to one Missile. At least, in Metroid: Zero Mission. Anyways, it's strong, so use it. With the Ice Beam (after Kraid), it can help you get by Sidehoppers without much trouble. Oh yeah, and in case you have no idea where Kraid is, look for an odd monster-like symbol on your map- it marks a boss room. In Super Metroid, what classified as a boss was the 4 Guardians of Tourian (Kraid, Phantoon, Draygon, and Ridley) and Mother Brain, in Tourian. So... If you see that mark, it means it's one of the 4 main bosses (Kraid, Ridley, Phantoon, and Draygon).

Good luck!!!

The Plasma beam is worthless by the time you get it. You have to beat Ridley to get it and by then, you should have easily found the Screw Attack. The Space Jump can't be used in the sandfalls not in water. If anything, go get the Screw Attack and head back to Maridia to beat Draygon and you have to beat Draygon to aquire the Beam Combo and by then, it is useless but can come useful in Tourain as it is the only way to kill the Metroids without them right infront of you. The Spazer is much more usful than the Plasma beam as you get it rather early and I hope you got that.

actually space jumping in air is easier, heres why.

in the original there were 2 checks, first checked samus' minimum falling speed to be ABLE to space jump... then there was a max speed, of which falling at would then STOP samus from being able to space jump, I removed the max speed so that no matter how far you fall you will be bale to space jump.

you are probably trying to jump too early, you need to fall and reach a set speed before ebing able to jump again, usually, with hi-jump, falling half your jumping height is enough to be able to jump again.

also sandfalls will stop you from ebing bale to make any vertical progress in the air.

Okay, thanks for the information. But... I'm getting the Plasma Beam as soon as I can. It doesn't matter to me if it's useless by the time I get it... It's my favorite beam, with (surprise, surprise!) the Charge Beam being my second-favorite.

I think I accidentally found the vicinity of Ridley's Lair. Besides being able to get the Plasma Beam, breaking a few tubes in Maridia, and unlocking a bunch of Norfair doors, what else do you get for beating Ridley? I want to be prepared for when I come back to beat Ridley (I'm going after Draygon first, and I also want to enjoy Maridia while it lasts- it's my favorite area...). So... Thanks, and you probably won't hear much more from me asking for help. I've already found most of the items myself, and I'm only in Norfair to try and find where the Plasma Beam is (I know I can't get it without first beating Ridley), and I also want the Screw Attack. Oh yeah, if there's something I just posted that could spoil part of the game, please tell me so I can edit my post appropriately. Thanks.

Ah. I've got to say, this is easily the best super metroid hack around.
I'm lovin it so far. I especially love the physics changes.
Will you ever be hacking other games in the future?

I think I'm stuck. I know you've said that it's impossible to get stuck, but... I'm in Norfair. I was leaving Norfair when I found some Boost Blocks in the floor of one of the rooms adjacent to the tall passage nearest the Brinstar Elevator, on the left. I went in from the Boost Blocks, but now, my only way out is Shinesparking through more Boost Blocks, and I have no room to charge it up on. I can charge my Speed Booster in another room, but then I have to go through a Morph Ball tunnel. So... am I stuck? If so, thank goodness I saved a state before jumping down those Pit Blocks!

Psychofox: Sweet, I'm glad you like it so far, but no i do not plan on hacking any mroe games. this was my first, and my last hack

Sorry, my bad. I have that problem, and I can't stop. So... I guess I should look for Bombable Blocks, seeing as I foolishly made my savestate after falling down Pit Blocks... Either I find those blocks, or I'm going to have to use some overly-complicated Speed Booster run to get out. I hope it's not the overly-complicated Speed Booster run... So, thanks for mentioning the Bomb Blocks. I figured that once you enter an area accessible by using a certain upgrade, you'd have to use that upgrade to get out, and not anything else.

The hang-time is a few seconds, but it's long enough for an enemy to attack you. It's a small price to pay since a Charged Beam is powerful. And yes, there's a hang-time for all the beams.

heres the deal

Charged:

power beam - no cooldown time
Wave - medium cooldown time
Ice - medium cooldown time
spazer - long cooldown time
plasma - long cool down time

all combos have long delays
