It would never measure up...

I didn't like Zero Mission so much anyways. It'd be lost on me, sad to say. But if Drew and his team were on it, I might give it another go anyhow.

That was my idea! Only problem would be since Zero Mission lacked items......

Zero mission lacked atmosphere. I would never plan a major hack for it.

SMR was my retirment project

Great work on making this! I've been playing it for the past week or so, going from enjoyment to frustration to enjoyment etc etc
I'm not a diehard metroid fan, but I've managed the mid air morph, wall jumping and diagonal bomb jumping.
I even found most of the items without help. =)

But now I'm a little stuck. I've picked up the power bomb in norfair, but I can't seem to
get out. I assume that the lava rooms with grapple ceiling are not the way. I've searched the
bottom of the lava pits...
The closing door at the start closes too fast to get past, and the passageway in the ceiling
above it is closed.
Taking the elevator to Maridia doesn't help, there's a barrier there that can only be opened from the other side.
And there's a grey door in the left side of norfair, but it doesn't want to open.
Am I missing something "obvious"?

Help?

-laughs- Thank you, Drew.

You know, I'm working on an FF hack. Because I am still pretty new to this stuff and FF is easier than others. And I was wondering if I could make a small, cryptic mention of SM:R?

Well, I spotted a suspicious-looking pipe above a barrier-thing deep down in Norfair. After trying to get into it for a while, a stray shot somehow opened the door. Was that supposed to happen? See the attachedimage.

Edit: Ok. Found the exit now. *feeling a little stupid*
Still wonder about that door opening though.

I'd have to see your weapon, but you probably have a wave beam.

And yeah. It was pretty simple, huh?

Is there anyway I could copy the game to an empty SNES Cartridge and play it that way? Because I have never really had much fun or luck with roms.

I'm not really sure how it works about cartridges, but there is a machine called Super UFO. Check it out.

Else you could get a Super Smart Joy (Google it) and run the rom on your TV-Out to get as close to the real feeling as you can without a console.

Besides:
Ok, I'm going nuts here. I can't find my two (or three) last statues. One in Maridia and one in Brinstar. Two in east and center Brinstar and two in east and the one I kill Ridley to reach. In Norfair and Crateria I found 3 each.
Help please?

Arva - No. We are not allowed to tell you where the statues are. My suggestion, just start religiously scanning and searching and peering over your map. Don't let up on your examination until they are painfully obvious. And some are just that. Obvious.

BUT WE CAN'T TELL YOU WHERE THEY ARE TEE HEE!

right, can't say where they are, but they are in the same general areas for each area. look on your map for an icon, it does not mean they are disarmed or not, just that they are there. The gate keeper is NOT a guardian, so don't count that.

there ARE 3 statues per area. keep that in mind

Nice job, but the increased gravity is unimaginably frustrating. It would be nice to see a modification of one of the GBA Metroids with Smetroid-like gameplay, as I always felt it to be superior.
